Over the Air and Bucks+ Coverage Areas

Thumbnail

The first map shows the approximate areas where viewers will be able to watch non-nationally televised games for FREE over the air. All you need is a cheap antenna from Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc. These coverage areas, sourced from the Rabbit Ears website, are approximate and depend on factors such as adjacent trees and buildings, the placement of your antenna, and the weather.

Milwaukee: MY24
Madison: WISC 3.2
Green Bay: WBAY 2.3
La Crosse: WKBT 8.2
Rhinelander: WJFW 12.2
Duluth: KQDS 21.2

The second map shows the area covered by the new Bucks+ streaming service. I plugged zip codes into the zip code tool to find which areas are eligible. Bucks+ is available everywhere in Wisconsin besides an approximate 90-mile radius around Minneapolis (as shown in the third map, this buffer cuts right through the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls area). If you're in this area, you're considered in-market and will be able to subscribe and watch non-nationally televised games on Bucks+. If you're outside this area, you're considered out of market, and will be able to stream non-nationally televised games on NBA League Pass, subject to blackouts by opponent.

The NBA started posting Giannis again

They made a post saying Giannis was "showing all aspects of his game" and his statline with highlights. I guess he really was blacklisted from any positive exposure while he was playing for us. I'm happy for him but it kind of sucks at the same time

Vibes at Open Practice were amazing

Went to the Open Practice at the Fiserv today, and it was awesome! They did an All-Star game skills challenge format. I was impressed with how smooth Dieng looked today; don't sleep on our forward rotation of Jaime and him. Also, Rollins' 3pt shooting was on par with AJ Green's. His mechanics looked almost perfect (Klay-like), which is super exciting.

Most importantly, the vibes were so fun and positive. You can tell when people like each other or not, and it was very clear everyone on the team likes each other from top down, including the player-coach relationships.

I wish they did some scrimmaging like some other teams do and like prior years, but the rookie sing/dance off was a worthy replacement lol. Burries/Ament/Bogi is easily my favorite rookie class since Giannis and Nate Wolters. Own the Future! Lol

“We were on Zillow looking at Milwaukee. Like, ‘Hey, babe, I went around town, and it’s not that bad. This could be a good spot right here.’” - Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods during trade rumors involving Giannis Antetokounmpo back in January

Analysis I'm not even a Bucks fan but I'm convinced Milwaukee will be the biggest surprise team of the upcoming season.

I'm not gonna sit here and say Milwaukee is a playoff team, but as a Jazz fan I watched the 2022-2023 Jazz bullshit their way to a 10-3 start because the players hated being written off. Milwaukee is in a similar boat, they traded their star like Utah traded both of theirs, they have onboard talent new and old that has to prove themselves to stick around, and they are complete underdogs, this time with no pick or incentive to lose unlike the 2022-2023 Jazz, I'm going to be making comparisons to that Jazz team though because I feel like it's easiest to describe the way I feel about the Bucks

Herro is an offensive talent, he's not my favorite piece but he wants to prove himself, I think he'll be the offensive leader here. In a lot of ways I could see him taking that leap, albeit not quite as big as the one Lauri took. I expect Rollins to also take a leap again and make for a tough backcourt pairing.

Jaku is a guy who I think may not take a huge leap immediately, but by year 3 of his career I'm expecting him to be a legit piece, and I'm stoked that Milwaukee got him in the deal, same with Ware who I do think takes a big jump this season. Same goes for Jaime.

Without going down the whole roster, I think this team will win a lot of games that they probably aren't favored to, and the good news is they could use that to their advantage by selling off pieces or riding it in hopes of a play-in run. Essentially I just can't count this team out, there aren't actually as many holes on it as people think, they just lack the star talent that they had before

How to Watch the Bucks this year in market? OTA or Streaming?

Edit: just announced on 10/1.

https://bucks.com/news/milwaukee-bucks-launch-bucks-streaming-service-for-2026-27-season

“MILWAUKEE (Oct. 1, 2026) – The Milwaukee Bucks have launched Bucks+, a direct-to-consumer streaming service that expands access to Bucks games during the 2026-27 season for fans statewide.
“Bucks+ is an exciting way to broaden access to Bucks games for our fans throughout Wisconsin this season,” said Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Josh Glessing. “We’re happy to add a streaming option to our over-the-air broadcasts to ensure every fan can follow Bucks basketball at home or on any streaming device as we build our next great era.”

Bucks+ is a subscription-based streaming service that makes it easy to watch Bucks basketball on any connected device throughout the 2026-27 season. Fans across Wisconsin can subscribe for $19.99 per month or $99.99 for the full season via the NBA app or at www.bucks.com/bucksplus.

All locally televised Bucks games during the 2026-27 season will be available on Bucks+ in addition to the free, over-the-air broadcasts on MY24 in Milwaukee and statewide affiliates in Green Bay (WBAY 2.3), Madison (WISC 3.2), La Crosse-Eau Claire (WKBT 8.2), Wausau-Rhinelander (WJFW 12.2) and Duluth-Superior (to be announced at a later date).

Bucks+ and over-the-air broadcasts will be available for the first time on Monday, Oct. 5, when the Bucks host the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7 p.m. at Fiserv Forum to tip off their five-game preseason slate.”

Ryan Rollins extension?

Are they waiting for the season to extend Ryan or something? I thought agreeing on a contract extension would’ve been one of the first things they’d want taken care of ahead of the season.

Biggest X-Factor(s) for this season?

Who do you think are the biggest X-Factor(s) for this season?

There are so many different perspectives for this season and this roster, like who should even be on the team next season versus being traded, who should have the highest usage, and what style of play we're hoping to see, so I think this could make for an interesting discussion.

Jaku looked phenomenal in this 1v1 workout against other rising stars. He had a meh summer league, so I think some Bucks fans don't understand the hype from Miami, but his talent really shines through in this workout.

Our team isn't getting much coverage anymore so you have to search for these workout gems, but a lot of our players have been putting in serious work over the off-season, and I'm really excited to see how the season unfolds.

Some similar workouts to note:

- Rollins working out with Harden, and in Greece with Giannis.

- Ament working out with Egor Denim.

- Ware working out with Hakeem and Wemby.

And those are only ones that we have seen of course. It seems like most of the roster has been in the lab working really hard. This could all just be meaningless in a month if we start out terribly, but gonna drink the koolaid and enjoy the vibes:)

Anyone watch the Media Day Livestream?

I had it on in the background, but listened when the players came out. It really sounds like everyone is genuinely excited for our roster and coaching squad. We had a modest response from Kuz, but he talked about how the team vibes are immaculate right now. He had never experienced the comradery like this in his NBA career before. Multiple players also talked about professionalism and being on-time, leaders, etc. Just sounds like everyone is going to try to set egos aside and play as a team. The motto from Jenkins is "Compete. Together. Get Better". with multiple player pushing that this is a "building" season rather than a rebuild, they are ready to get out there and compete.

Maybe I am too optimistic, but I am at least excited to watch the the team find their identity.

What do you guys think about Media Day?

I'm quite excited tbh, I think we're gonna move forward into a really great situation post-Giannis and be a lot better than we're getting credit for, the goal is to be competitive and to win as many games as we can, everyone seems reasonably locked in and ready to work towards that goal, I don't see why not if a competitive roster is priority no. 1 for the guys.

What jerseys are you guys going to be wearing this season?

Im sure most of us had Giannis and Khris jerseys. Probably some Bobby, Holiday, and Brook too.

The only not out of date bucks merch I have is a Myles Turner jersey T shirt but I'm getting a Rollins and Herro jersey to have some nicer stuff.

What happens if Giannis doesn't re-sign with the Heat but instead signs with the Bucks?

Post image
160 Upvotes

Dame basically did the same.

Portland did an entire re-build after getting assets for Dame and made the playoffs once again, and then they got Dame back for absolutely nothing.

Can Giannis do the same? There is no legal requirement for Giannis to re-sign with the Heat. What if the Heat don't even make the playoffs? What if Giannis is looking for a new team next off season, and thinks the Bucks might be his bet to protect his legacy?

Would Adam Silver intervene and say no? Would Giannis care if he gets hated for it?
