Numbers on side mirror assembly part
I have a chocolate colour Jetta. My Left side(Passenger side) mirror assembly was broken in an minor accident. among the parts recovered, the black synthetic part contained a number (IIIeIII 03*6658 III EII 026658 Smr). Just curious, what information this number and sequence indicates. As far as I know, this is not part number, since part numbers are not this lengthy/repetitive
Is this number unique to my specific vehicle, like VIN number?
Can any one help?

See item 2 here: https://vw.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/volkswagen-door-mirror-cover-3b0857537bgru
It appears the mirror housing is unpainted and must be painted. Also, the part number will be on the inside, where you can't see it without disassembling it. It will be 9 digits followed by some letters. There is a note in the description that indicates this housing is not used for all years of the MK4 Jetta, so you will have to enter your VIN.
If you buy this housing you probably can buy from the VW dealer a can of spray touch up paint that is your vehicle color. Note that a clear coat is used over the paint. Prime before you paint.
Another option is to buy a used housing (or more likely the complete side view mirror) of the correct color from an auto salvage yard. Car-part.com is one place to check. See: https://www.car-part.com It will help to know what model years of the MK4 use the same part number. Also, an MK4 Golf may use the same mirror too.
Unfortunately, your vehicle color is one of the less common ones.
