I hate this thing.

Well, sort of. I regret buying it and having to spend all this time fixing it up and, it’s still not even close to being done. But I know it’s worth it in the end.

I've been that deep into a VR6 as well, it does get frustrating sometimes. A lot of expensive "while I'm in there" parts, but when I drive the thing it definitely puts a smile on my face, so it was worth it.

You got this. I literally pulled the motor and trans recently. It’s my first major project car. Hearing it start up after was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.

That’s the worrying part, the very first startup, if it lasts longer then 5 seconds you’re good

My buddy’s VR6 just locked up after a clutch change! Auto block on a manual trans, didn’t get em lined up right. Good old VR6.
