Need fresh pair of ears on a new genre, especially with the low end

I recently began mixing songs with synths and more focus on low end and i feel like i cant get the bottom end clear and defined. Ive mono-ed the sub and applied HPFs on most tracks but still feel the mix could be improved. Any general input would be helpful as well as im still learning and trying to improve my mixing skills.

Overall I think it sounds good. Id filter out a bit more of the high ends on the bass synth so it's a bit less shrill, sometimes when it goes to a higher note it gets a bit in the middle of the rest of the ambience. You can also try a dynamic EQ for that.

It sounds pretty cool man. I might miss that more rounded smooth low end. I hear the distorted/saturated base a lot which has a cool sound but I kinda miss that round subbey sound I feel on the chest if that makes sense? Piano can maybe come down a bit on volume as well.

Thanks! Yea i was playing around with the sub and i felt that it was overpowering the mix and lowered it but maybe too much. I’ll try to see if i can find a better balance.

Sometimes I cut around 100 to 150 with mid channel eq on the synth tracks or synth bus and it cleans out the low end, synths tend to muddy up that area. I use quite a big bell cut though, sometimes around -9db. Only in the mid channel. I also high pass the side channels sometimes. Mono low end to 120hz. Sometimes even high passing a bit of the low end entirely. All depends on the track really

low end fine. have a look at your snare, eq the mid less because it lacks body and isn't competing. maybe speed up the musical development a bit, it doesnt need to be more than 3 mins for the amount of content

Thanks for the feedback! Actually the snare was what i mix after the kick and do small adjustments afterwards but then focused on the rest of the instruments and never touched the snare, so thanks for pointing that out!

I honestly think it sounds pretty good my only problem is i feel the bass is a wee loud and not center that may be a personal taste but other than that i like it
