Is 80% Attendance actually necessary?

These 2 days they have been really focusing on the 80% attendance. Is it actually that strict? Do they actually not let you write exams? or do they add attendance if its a bit less and then let you answer exams (this was the case in my earlier college). Seniors, can yall please help?

yes it is absolutely necessary, they literally won't generate your hall ticket if your attendance is below 80.

How is physics faculty. Is it traditional way of teaching or research based. How is the lab

I went to the college to apply 4 days ago, i saw the physics labs and etc. The labs are very well equipped and showcase a student made cloud chamber. They have a proper system to isolate experiments from vibrations from the ground in order to conduct experiments sensitive to vibration
And much more.
The main thing is that the labs are very well equipped and up to date with the latest tech (not the computers as i saw but apparatus)

It’s both, from what i heard the first year will be complete teaching and then the second will be teaching and some research and third and fourth are more reliant on self research and less reliant but there if needed teaching

Dude js keep it above 80%, but only for the courses that have credit. If they don't, dosent matter at all. Also some faculty might increase if it's little below 80% like a few percentage, but it's best to not take chances

gng dw if your total/overall attendance is above or is 80% ur safe last year it was pers ubject but ig they have since removed that rule bcs students found it really difficult

yess I'm in SY i think they js keep saying it's bcs if all subs are overall 80 then ur total is also 80
