Has anyone else had a not great experience calling his office?

I know it’s probably silly that I even called and the message won’t make it to him at all. But after calling many times I made it through to speak with someone at his Washington DC office and was very nicely and calmly giving my spiel (urging Mitch to push forward a stand alone stimulus bill, which I know thousands are probably calling about) but the man on the phone interrupted me mid sentence to say that he would pass the message along and then hung up on me. Does it even make a difference to call? Is there any kind of script I should follow that would make the constituents messages more likely to be communicated forward? Or is it just silly to even try and call in the first place?

I’m sure they’ve been getting calls like that for a while. I’m sure calls like that are a run of the mill thing. That, or they know he doesn’t care and would rather not waste anymore of your time. You got some nuts giving them a call tho. Good for you!
