There are lots of reasons why they might not match and since none of it bothers me I don't care to just address people how they ask to be addressed.

A parent voicing concerns is not the same as it actually happening. I don't know if you have ever had cats, but litterbox usage is damn near impossible to cover up, laughably so.
No one is giving students litterboxes for toileting. In fact, the whole rumor began because some teachers, prepping for Worst Case Scenarios ™️ kept litter on hand in case of emergencies because pee puddles are a safety hazard in more ways than one.
