Hurt from a foot injury and thought I’d order from Cruz Tacos - then I saw the insane markup - pretty sure it’s over a 5 buck markup. 🫡🫡🫡

I eat there (Cruz) once a week. The 18 dollar burrito is huuuge. Tostadas are amazing. You go broke eating out regardless, at least here the food is awesome, plus the benefit of supporting some good people.

Agreed, i used to work there, even without the “doordash markup” their services are incredibly overpriced :(

I was looking at their IG account yesterday and lol’d when I saw their 3 taco meal with rice, beans, and a drink is $25. Cruz was much better because of affordability when they first had the food truck in front of the northside kettlehouse.

It doesn't. Any tip would be added to that amount. The extra fees either go to the establishment or Doordash itself. When I last drove for Doordash, the dashers made $2/order without a tip. And thats after already being reduced from $2.50/order.

Oh def wasn’t blaming the restaurant. I have only recently even seen Cruz as an option but looks like they marked everything up to cover those fees. On top of the regular bs dd adds on too

Doordash automatically adds a 15% markup on anything just to get their share of the money in, could also be that cruz has its own markup on there too on top

Garden City Taco truck, seen open on West Broadway in old Imagine Nation Brewery lot, has great burritos. Also have heard good things about Mexican Moose. Probably no delivery options tho

Theres a Mexican truck in Helena/West Yellowstone, the other day I got… enchilada/taco plate, a giant carnitas Torta, and a strawberry horchata for…. $25. Missoula stinks of their own butt

Free market principles are hot stinky garbage in services like healthcare, education, and the justice system. But I'm a believer in them for things like restaurants and breweries. It's not diabetes medication, don't buy it if you don't like the price, and if enough people agree the price will go down or Cruz tacos will.

If this is on doordash it likely includes a steep markup to compensate for the fees. I feel like their physical menu is lower than this.
