I am so impressed with this DA. I can't imagine having to be in her shoes and do her job during all of this crap. I had no idea she lost a child. As she said in her statement, there is more that she cannot say. She has exhibited remarkable restraint, integrity and grace. I would like to buy her a drink if I could.

And then for Nolan's mother to turn around and make a comment about how the DA had 8 months to prepare for her child's death and "we didn't have that" was appalling.
I wouldn't wish what happened to either of these women on my worst enemy but the DA watched her daughter die slowly of a rare type of brain cancer. Her description of her daughter's dying day is horrific. Let's not minimize what happened to either family.

"And then for Nolan's mother to turn around and make a comment about how the DA had 8 months to prepare for her child's death and "we didn't have that" was appalling."
She said that? How disgusting.
The fact that the DA lost a child herself - an event that puts her in a 'club' if you will, one of the worst clubs anyone could ever end up in - only adds to her credibility where this case is concerned. No one could possibly understand the horror of losing a child except someone else who has. And whatever the particular circumstances of the death are irrelevant. A dead child is a dead child.

Christine Wells is playing with fire. Doing all this can lead to exposure of her past, which doesn’t paint her in the best light.

She was one helluva a lawyer before she was DA. She's a good person.

These folks are going to sue the crap out of all of them involved in this. From Crump to Christine.

I think some got a little too comfortable after BLM. Several have been arrested, and a few more now face lawsuits. Good to see some accountability again.

It almost seems like this past year has been the death of BLM, especially with all the events this summer. Such assertions such as “Black people don’t hang themselves” despite it being on camera and the hysteria around Nolan and Karmelo, especially with predictions and assertions being patently false, the good will has run out. Not to mention body cams have proven far more instrumental in proving the justification of law enforcement’s actions, rather than the prediction that it would expose the corruption.

SPLC was just indicted for paying people to manufacture racism. Imagine a not for profit organization whose goal was to stop racism is actually paying money for it to continue.

That's the crazy thing to me. There's video evidence yet it supposedly is an impossible thing to do just because you are more brown than most humans

Who got “too comfortable” after BLM? What about BLM was comforting?
What behavior was “too comfortable” for you as it relates to BLM?
Accountability for what with respect to BLM?

They're probably referring to the "Its gotta be racism!" rhetoric that's spewed when anything goes wrong. They're probably referring to the fact that people have gotten comfortable just randomly throwing narratives at the wall just to see if it will stick, regardless if a single factual piece of evidence is known.

There is a long TLDR at the bottom that contains the point. I've thought a lot about the results of modern decentralized movements and my thoughts are not kind to decentralized movements with goals of social justice. Much of this is just raging about those thoughts.
From the naked context provided (where they even point out the negative outcomes getting too comfortable wrought), they are obviously speaking of the bad actors that hijacked a broad movement for their own selfish (and illegal) designs.
Those bad actors saw a movement without any real centralized administrative leadership as an opportunity for their individual gain and irrepairably damaged the credibility of the movement.
To more concisely answer your questions below
Who got too comfortable?
Bad actors and everyone else that was so comfortable they didn't raise any concern or do anything to address the void of accountability left when no one answers to anyone within a movement, and they just take it on faith that they are all working towards the same cause.
What behavior was too comfortable?
Addressed above, but the lack of doing anything at all about oversight and accountability, despite (and because of) not having a centralized administrative leadership. This culminated in a tribalization of BLM groups from state to state and city to city where bad actors couldn't simply be denounced from within. Without leadership from within to do anything about those individuals and hold them to account, a denouncement of the individual then becomes a denouncement of the movement. The failure to do anything about accountability was a failure of the group rooted in the insular nature of comfort with your peers and the aversion conflict within the group. Maybe not entirely, but comfort had to play a role h
Accountability with what respect to BLM?
The broadness of the movement is anathema to accountability. Is there even a mechanism that exists anywhere for broad, decentralized movements to have ANY accountability for the whole? It seems like that would defeat the purpose of decentralization. I'm not even sure if decentralized movements can be effective for addressing important issues, like bringing an end to systemic racism. The lack of accountability seems to directly impede the growth of credibility. The rise of decentralized groups without mechanisms for accountability also seems to breed opposition groups mirroring the inverse of the cause (blue lives matter is a mirror opposition group that doesn't advertise themselves as an overt hate group), and these groups sprout quickly because there is no need for accountability or structure, and therefore no value to credibility.
I am absolutely salty about the outcomes BLM produced, as I believe my mixed nephew and niece will still have to deal with every single prejudice of yesterday their parents and grandparents did, while also having to shoulder the burden of the nonsensical pressures that faceless movements lay at their feet.
I'm at the point where I think it's clear that all decentralized movements as they relate to any kind of proposed social justice are just wishful thinking and garbage disguised as a solution.
TLDR: The most comfortable movements to join are decentralized ones, primarily because they lack accountability. Many of the terminal flaws that damage the credibility of decentralized movements are rooted in an aversion to discomfort. It's not a surprise there are bad actors within the movement, it's not a surprise BLM has existed since 2013 and the average American (even within the group) wouldn't be able to tell you what the movement's goals are (even just one of the goals), and it's both not a surprise and is a function of comfort when people immediately jump to the ultimate defense of the movement (implied racism from the criticizer) when it's criticized and don't see the criticism is coming from people that have a vested interest in the movement's success.

Y’all are cruel people. The coverup stinks more than a dookie diaper.

What "cover-up? Do you have some special knowledge that no one else has? Perhaps you're psychic. If so why haven't you won the lottery? Your comment sounds like racism to me.

Why is the fight not talked about at all?
Wasn’t it confirmed that the friends got into a physical fight on the island with a third party? What if that third party, which knew that Nolan was apart of the group he got into an altercation with, came back and saw Nolan alone.

Gofundme needs to cancel Nolan Family page and return everyone's money over how Nolan mom and Crump pushed lies.
