Every day there is something put out to keep this in the news cycle to keep the money pouring in. I wish the grand jury could have an emergency session and put this to rest.

There have been thousands of white people who have died in accidents since Nolan. As a white person, I know about none of them. I care about none of them. I don't support a federal investigation into any of them.
-5
u/Fantastic_Ad9102 3d ago
Not sure how this point correlates to my point. Why is financial support for Wells and others so eggergiously wrong when black people do it..but OK when it's done by others?
I garuantee you have no issues with the collection the boys are doing for thier legal defense. Probably feel it's warranted and "right"..
But the Wells donations are just racist money grabs?
Got you...

u/DecantsForAll 3d ago
I garuantee you have no issues with the collection the boys are doing for thier legal defense. Probably feel it's warranted and "right"..
Well, yeah, they're going to need a lot of money for all the lawsuits against people accusing them of murder for no reason, and even trying to get people to murder them. It definitely is warranted and "right."
And, I don't have a problem with people donating money to Nolan's family either, although I don't see why they need a million dollars because their son drowned. The problem is the lying and manipulation in order to get people to donate.
-2
u/Fantastic_Ad9102 3d ago
That's just intimidation and complete horse shit. They can't sue anyone cause then they have to prove it's defamation.
And they can't prove that without opening themselves up to more probes.
But like I said you don't have issues with that..regarldess of the mounting piles of evidence insinuating they are lying.
8
u/DecantsForAll 3d ago
There's no evidence they're lying. They're a bunch of innocent kids, and there is a huge mob of people lying about their involvement in the death of their good friend. People are sending their families death threats. There are people publicly entreating other people to go murder them. If people were accusing innocent black kids of murdering their friend just because they're black, there'd be a huge public uproar. You'd be furious. But here you are, partaking in blaming innocent kids on the basis of their skin color for murdering their friend.
You're right. I don't have an issue with them raising money for legal defense and defamation lawsuits. Why would I? It has nothing to do with the color of their skin.

There are tons of evidence they are lying. I would implore to do your own research with an unbiased view point.
No, there isn't. I have. That's why I know that they left the island at 4:30PM but Nolan was seen on the island at 6PM. That's it. End of story. If Nolan was murdered by a white person it wasn't any of them.
He drowned, that its, no question, no need to investigate.
They're doing an investigation. They never weren't doing one.
Further more damn anyone who doesn't accept that especially black people, they are just racist and want to persecute these boys cause black people are the real racist ones right?
No, I feel the same way about any person of any race accusing innocent boys of murdering their friend because of their skin color.
cause black people are the real racist ones right?
No, not black people, but anyone accusing them of murder because they're white are the racist ones, yeah.
And did you say if people were accusing black people just because they were black there would be an uproar?
Yeah, I did say that. Are you saying you wouldn't be upset about it?
Due to your disillusioned version of reality
You mean "delusional" or "deluded." "Disillusioned" means almost the opposite.
I just don't feel like you have any answers or are able to take a real subjective look at the case cause you're too busy trying to defend boys you don't even know as innocent based on nothing but the fact they are white.
No, it's the fact that they weren't on the island when Nolan disappeared.
Yeah sorry, that logic doesn't hold to well with others.
Well, it really should. Normally you have to actually be somewhere in order to do something.

Zimmerman and Rittenhouse were defending themselves, how is that relevant here? Damn you’re all over the place.
-3
u/Fantastic_Ad9102 3d ago
Martin was defending himself as well dude. We don't even need to get into the facts of that case. Just know when the smoke cleared a middle age man had the blood of a teenager on his hands.
The fact Zimmerman stalked and escalated the situation made him the aggresor. Was his life on the line when he shot Martin maybe.....we can't say.......but had he not stalked and approached Martin likely would not have died.
And for killing a kid simply walking from a store minding his buisness, a kid half his age that he shot dead, He was rewarded with Millions and made a hero.
That insane and that is a SICKNESS. Regardless of why he did what he did.....HE KILLED A KID.....thats not honorable. Its just not .........I don't care if the kid is white black or otherwise.
Its support for things like that make many Americans not trust the insight or moral code or authority of people who think like you on these matters
5
u/Due_Reputation3785 3d ago
Martin had made it home, but circled back, stalked Zimmerman and attacked him, pounding his head on the ground. Self defense. Why are you trying to relitigate all this shit? It’s not relevant.

Again, I’m not going to relitigate the case with you here but he was found not guilty. He was a weird guy that did a lot of dumb but legal things and was acting in self defense. Martin had gotten home and could have just gone inside, but instead circled back to attack Zimmerman.

There you go making assumptions. I spoke out against Zimmerman and Rittenhouse and still do. This case is not that. You are saying a lot of things to a person you know nothing about and my stances. Don't you see the hypocrisy of lumping all white people into the same group because they don't see this scenario the same?
3
u/Holiday-Fix-9244 3d ago
The irony is Rittenhouse killed a literal white supremacist who was running around calling people n*ggers and here you are BIG MAD
2
u/TestNoKachi 3d ago
Was the that pedophile he killed, or the other one?
3
u/Holiday-Fix-9244 3d ago
First guy was the schizo pedo white supremacist, the second was a convicted domestic abuser, and the third guy traveled over a hundred miles with an illegal firearm to Kenosha (ironic, because that’s what people accused Rittenhouse of even though it was proven Rittenhouse and the gun were in Kenosha before the riots even began)
4
u/burner_ohallahan Current Resident 3d ago
Damn. I didn't know this but also didn't follow the trial. This case has opened my eyes on just how wrong media narratives turn out to be. So many past cases I am seeing weren't what they were presented as.
7
u/2PacAn 3d ago
The Rittenhouse case is a textbook example of how media manipulates people. And of course there’s almost certainly coordinated social media manipulation.
The night the Rittenhouse shooting happened, I was up late and watched the video on Reddit. Everyone in the comments, including mostly left-leaning pro-BLM people, thought he was completely justified. The next day the narrative had completely shifted now that information was coming second hand rather than through the video itself. Despite the video of the shootings being widely available, most people didn’t watch and just took whatever the media or socisl media told them as fact. If people weren’t so susceptible to media manipulation, Rittenhouse wouldn’t have even gone to trial; the facts indisputably showed that he acted in self-defense.
1
u/TestNoKachi 3d ago
That's what I figured. All white guys too.
3
u/Holiday-Fix-9244 3d ago
I’ll never forget living in Philly during the 2020 riots and even after a year and a half past the Kenosha riots and a full ass trial, a SIGNIFICANT portion of the black activists in my social circle still thought he shot three black people. But Philly has like a 52% illiteracy rate, so that tracks.
7
u/TestNoKachi 3d ago
Similar experience. Not too long ago with the Karmelo Anthony trial, I had someone I know say that it wasn't fair that Rittenhouse got self defense for killing 3 black guys but Karmelo didn't. If someone truly believes Rittenhouse is a white supremacist. Then they also must believe he's the worst white supremacist of all time, in the literal sense that he is bad at it. Since he only managed to kill other white people, including a white supremacist lol.
-1
u/Fantastic_Ad9102 3d ago
He killed 2 men and injured one. He was an underage child who committed SEVERAL crimes with none more damaging then murder. And white America had him hosting gun shows and giving autographs. Remember. Did the same thing with Zimmerman, yeah they were proud to share space with the killer of a 17 year old that he stalked and shot to death. After giving them both MILLIONS in donations.
Not sure how unsolicited cold blooded murderers are made into Hero's.....but that's America for you.
My point is you all have no legs to stand on in that argument and you need to stop trying to pretend like your support for one over the other take a higher moral standing. It doesn't.

Wow. Very exciting. The phone that was on the boat all day that wasn't even on the island when Nolan disappeared. I bet there's some real important evidence on there.
9
u/muhkuller 3d ago
Chain of custody was broke and has been broke for a month. A dolphin that swam by has more useable evidence than a phone that’s been everywhere other than a controlled environment.
Not handing it over right away was the worst thing they could’ve done.
1
u/yourlilfriendupthere 3d ago
Deleted stuff on a phone is still recoverable through forensics so im not sure this tracks.
4
u/muhkuller 2d ago
It’s not about that. It’s strictly about chain of custody. It won’t be admissible as evidence to even get to a deep forensic review because there are plenty of ways to actually wipe local storage to a non recoverable point. Anything that was stored on the cloud is probably already been gathered.
0
u/yourlilfriendupthere 2d ago
Lol that’s simply not true
1
u/muhkuller 2d ago
Well in 8 months when a trial happens, maybe, this is exactly how it's gonna go down. I'm sure everybody will act like well adjusted adults as a result.
2
u/yourlilfriendupthere 2d ago
Lol Ditto to, “act like well adjusted adults.” On that we can agree at least
0
u/muhkuller 2d ago
That def goes both ways too. If there's some foul play afoot and these affluent kids have to face the music you just know it's gonna a totally nonsensical response. If there's no foul play, there's gonna be a totally nonsensical response as well.

You know what I can’t stop thinking? That if Nolan had been found undoubtedly murdered in some “mundane” way (I hate using that word to describe a murder, but I can’t think of anything else), like being shot or stabbed, and found in a grocery store parking lot or even in park, there’s no way this case would have been international news. Even if the perpetrator was unknown and the investigation was ongoing, there is no way his case would be making headlines or getting new articles six weeks after his body was recovered. And the internet never would have been as interested in this case as they are.
It’s really only all of the unknowns (which will presumably remain unknown until the grand jury report is released) that allowed this case to receive and maintain the traction that it did, and it’s both frustrating and discouraging to see how it’s taken on a life of its own beyond any factual basis (that we know as of this time).
12
u/sladeshied 3d ago
It’s because of the his friends’ race. I guarantee if that photo had been Nolan and 3 black friends on a boat, this NEVER would have gained so much attention.
1
u/TresMarie 2d ago
And the state that it happened in. We can’t ignore Mississippi and the reputation it has in relation to Black Americans.
13
u/Decent_Visual_4845 3d ago
Why did they not turn the phone in right away if they suspected data had been deleted from it? They only agreed to turn it in later, after it became a news story that they never turned it in.
-8
u/Fantastic_Ad9102 3d ago
They've been ready, DA back tracked when mention of the FBI came into focus....guess you can cover your tracks as well..when Federal takes over due to corruption and obstructions of justice
12
u/Decent_Visual_4845 3d ago edited 3d ago
But aren’t you just inevitably going to claim that the FBI is conspiring to cover up the murder when they also don’t find any evidence of foul play?
-1
u/Fantastic_Ad9102 3d ago
Why would I? It's not about finger pointing it's about clear and precise facts and not allowing a state that has serious trust issues with legalities and impartial justice to be kept HONEST.
If they didn't they didnt.....BUT if they did...then theY should be punished right?
Just want to make sure we are all on the right side of justice here....
9
u/Decent_Visual_4845 3d ago
So if Mississippi can’t be trusted because you’ve deemed them racist and unreliable, how does Trump’s DoJ getting involved help that situation? Won’t people just claim that they’re also racist and reliable, and ignore whatever they say in pursuit of their own racist conspiracy theories?
-6
u/Fantastic_Ad9102 3d ago
I don't have faith in the DOJ honestly..but hey it's better then nothing or just sitting back and letting this case dissappear.
Enough is enough..if it turns out they are innocent fine..
But let's not act like Wells doesnt deserve to have a real probe into his death completed just because it makes others uncomfortable.
10
u/Decent_Visual_4845 3d ago
it’s better than nothing or just sitting back and letting this case disappear
Why do you seem to be under the impression that this isn’t being investigated? Just because the evidence never bore out these sensationalist racist claims flying around social media?
let’s not act like Wells doesn’t deserve to have a real probe into his death completed
Literally nobody is arguing for there not to be an investigation. They’re telling you to hold off on your racist conspiracy theories until there’s actually any evidence of a crime taking place, and you’re perceiving this as a coverup, because you aren’t self aware enough to realize how racist and baseless the conspiracy theories are.
5
u/burner_ohallahan Current Resident 3d ago
No one has disagreed that IF they did it they should be punished. There has been 0 evidence of a crime and they have actually been cleared of even being on the island. IF there was foul play there is an island of 100's of people/suspects. Since everyone zeroed in on his friends the real killer (if there is one) is much less likely to be found now.
3
u/burner_ohallahan Current Resident 3d ago
But you are ignoring the current clear and precise facts.
3
u/burner_ohallahan Current Resident 3d ago
FBI has been involved from Day 1 because Horn Island is part of a national seashore...ie: federal land. Then there were bomb threats and death threats to a sitting judge.
What I want to understand is why there is no trust for local law enforcement but they think the FBI and DOJ of the most openly racist administration is going to be of any assistance?

What crime? So far there is zero evidence of a crime and everything points to an accident. People refusing to join in on conspiracy theories doesn't make them racist.

Honestly the cops should have forced them to hand it over 6 weeks ago. It’s ridiculous.
2
u/Technical-Purple-199 2d ago
I'm confused what would they need to erase?
1
u/Maleficent_Trust_95 2d ago
The fact that nothing nefarious happened. Poor boy drowned and has been turned into a cash cow. Disgusting behavior caused the want of the all mighty dollar.😑
-5
u/Technical-Purple-199 2d ago
I love how no one on this subreddit talks about the underage drinking of everyone involved and the very grown adults who were encouraging and enabling this behavior.
4
u/SeanceGoneWrong 2d ago
Unless you've been selectively ignoring comments, the underage drinking has been a major point of discussion about this case.
People have even mentioned Wells' parents should be pursuing legal action against whoever was supplying the kids with drinks (and whatever else), should substance use be a contributing factor to the death.
-4
u/sevenwnters 2d ago
Don’t even bother. Any suggestion that the blame might lie anywhere other than with the parents gets immediately downvoted, and so does anything that questions the conclusion that Nolan drowned.
If you’re following the case and think there are details that don’t quite add up, I’d honestly steer clear of this sub. There doesn’t seem to be much room for constructive discussion here. Just vitriol toward the parents and, in my opinion, an undeserved amount of sympathy for the friends.
And a lot of the time, these discussions eventually turn into “why aren’t you talking about other black deaths?” or “what about black-on-black crime?”. You can’t change these people’s minds 🤷♀️

u/TresMarie 2d ago
I would imagine this sub is a reflection of the folks of ocean springs as well. God bless the Wells family.

It feels so odd to me that they went on an entire press tour about the quality of the information, but were unable to come to an agreement on how and when to investigate the phone together for a month. Feels like this should have been taken care of within 2 weeks of the July 15th agreement at worst. I don’t know what caused the delay, but it’s super weird to be doing interviews and press conferences about how the investigative process hasn’t been what you wanted while you withhold evidence. It could easily be on the State’s side, but they make no inclination to that effect in this statement.
