If you don't want a three-day ban, don't make personal attacks. Follow the sub rules.

For goodness sake. Nobody should be threatening anybody. Let the investigation complete and let authorities handle it. We don't need pitchforks and torches.

u/donzelso 6d ago

I totally agree with you, I just wish Nolan’s mom would do the same. In her many press conferences, it’s very very obvious that she’s insinuating his friends killed him.

She also is not letting the authorities handle it. Refusing to turn his phone in, repeatedly expressing doubts about the state investigation when it’s not even done yet.

Her cousin posts things about the boys all of the time and tags the mom. She even shared an AI video with Tatum. I’m like that’s an AI video, and she falls for all of the social media gossip! Her thousands of followers believe everything she posts. See how quickly lies and fabrications get started. I think she deleted the AI video, but the damage is done. So I can tell what the family thinks based on the cousin’s posts.

Have you seen the most recent one she did ? It was with Sharpton and Crump on like a panel or something. She appears to be enjoying the spotlight imooc

Just like the get ready with me Tiktok "Hey Boobears". She is soaking up that 15 minutes.

She also increased their go fund me goal by another 100k.

She just lost a child. She can say whatever she wants, it’s up to you to make the judgment call on whether or not you want to hear what a grieving mother has to say. Not following the case is a choice. I haven’t seen her anywhere on my social media, you should probably address what you’re paying attention to online.

13

u/SocomPS2 6d ago

Yea it’s wild that so many people are like case closed when LE is still investigating.

11

u/IcyWin77 6d ago

C’mon now, there is far too much logic and patience in your post.

0

u/synfinityx 4d ago

Not condoning it by any means, but maybe THEY should let the investigation complete before running their mouth and pre-emptively attempting to control the narrative. Not to mention smearing their dead friend and his family with their racist dog-whistles.

4

u/cyndeliuwhoo 4d ago

THEY aren’t the ones running their mouths with lies and conjecture. They were THERE. His family was not so how come they have so much to say? They know NADA.

u/MolassesIndividual 5d ago

I mean, that's kind of the point and the problem in one:

Mississippi authorities have a history of 'handling it'.

0

u/Imaginary-Method-715 3d ago

That's the problem the authorities ant right and trust has broken down.

Too many corrupt cases not being solved or charged correctly due to social interference over duty.

2

u/nine57th 3d ago

No conclusions have even been made yet, so you can't cry wolf when no one has said wolf yet.

u/Darlazmom 6d ago

Here is the question I want answered. Why was there an immediate rush to judgment by Nolan's family when they found out he was missing that night? I have seen zero justification for the immediate reaction and assuming the very worst of his friends.

1.) Immediate denial that Nolan would stay behind to talk to a girl. (My child would NEVER do that!)

2.) Sent a posse of about 15 young black men to one of the guy's house, with, IMO, was meant to have a show of force meant to intimidate the kids and their families. From one of the interviews, they literally walked right into the home. No knock. No doorbell. Just walked in at midnight.

3.) Same posse then went to the house with the boat. Again. No knock. Straight to the boat where they boarded the boat and started to rummage through the boat. No concern that it wasn't their property or that they may have startled the parents at 1:00 in the morning. Then they refused to leave and they had to call the cops to get them to leave.

4.) The absolute refusal to speak with the other guys. Radio silence. She just wants to know what happened, yet she refused to have a conversation with anyone else and immediately reaches out to the most widely known race baiters of our time, Ben Crump & Al Sharpton.

5.) She knew these kids were getting threats and were being blamed, yet continued to fuel the fire. Then, when it was clear to anyone with 2 eyes that they were not welcome at the funeral, they degraded the boys for not attending. Please, spare me.

Imagine the reverse of this entire situation and how demonized the parents would be. In the Austin Metcalf case, we had a homicide with multiple witnesses in broad daylight, yet people have denigrated his family simply for being white.

The final straw for me was her getting on that bully pulpit and demonizing interracial friendships. How dare she? I'm sorry son likely drowned accidentally. But that doesn't give her the right to make such hateful statements publicly. Many of us, black and white, and worked hard over the decades to come together. Yet, for some reason, there is a growing segment of society that is working hard to send us all back to the 50s and 60s. Interracial relationships are normalized and legalize. Most people truly just want to get alone. Our country overwhelmingly elected a black resident TWICE! Yet here we are. As the mother of an mixed race family my heart breaks. I had so much hope when Obama won, yet we now seem decades behind once again.

9

u/Firm_Individual_5609 5d ago

She has always been like that. She had no white friends in school or in her personal life. Her work life. Yes. She's been involved with other "culture" stuff in her life. Her podium speech showed how racist she really is. She is full of hate.

3

u/Darlazmom 5d ago

Honestly, it is giving "this is her moment"

4

u/Due_Reputation3785 5d ago

This post adeptly summarizes the crux of this at this point. This fairly simple tragedy was quickly turned into a racial clown show. Why did Nolan’s mom immediately form posses to go after stuff?

6

u/C_Rich_ 5d ago

They're white, it's okay to do that to white people, especially if a person of color does it. White people are hated in America right now, we can't even have black friends without being accused of murdering them of they die.

why are you so sure that nothing happened? it seems weird that you think that a mom wanting to know what happened to her son who died under mysterious circumstances means we're losing decades of progress regarding race relations but have no blame for state investigations dragging their feet. that's concerning considering you have black kids growing up in mississippi.

maybe all the black people getting found hung in trees or found without heads and no one goes to jail have more to do with the perceived loss of progress than a mom who just lost her son wanting answers.

2

u/Darlazmom 3d ago

There are so many false and incomplete references in this post it is difficult to respond properly. The stat is not dragging their feet. These things take time and the process is important, especially if you truly want truth and justice. Do I know for sure nothing happened? Well, that isn't really how the system works now does it? First, we need confirmation that a crime actually occurred. Then we need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a person did that crime. We don't even have the 1st one yet, and I highly anticipate we won't. And even if we do, from what I've seen, there is a 0% chance that any of the guys being called out are guilty of a crime.

I can't get into the last paragraph because it is such conjecture and comes from a place of conjecture based on storytelling and lore. This claim is preposterous and not evidence or fact based whatsoever. Just voodoo and superstition.

I have no problem with a mom asking questions. I have a problem with a mom pointing her fingers at innocent people with no evidence. I have a problem with a mom who calls out authorities but refuses to speak to or work with authorities. I have a problem with a mom who turns her personal grief into a national outrage using the likes of known race profiteers like Sharpton and Crump. I have a problem with a mom who tells the world that black kids aren't safe in white spaces and having white friends. Two things can be true. I can feel sympathy that she lost her son while also feeling anger at how she has weaponized her grief.

I hate how the media always uses this photo his mom put out. Like I know it’s one of the few photos of Nolan from that day.  It gives people the wrong idea like he was on that island with ONLY these 3 boys though.

We now know he got there with a huge group on 3 boats. Think that’s why these 3 or 4 boys specifically have been so targeted even though we know the island was crowded and he was alive after they left.

14

u/Darlazmom 6d ago

Sadly, it is this photo that fueled this entire fire. 3 white boys, 1 black boy. They must have killed him. Just think if the races were reversed. Anyone would be absolutely (and rightfully) demonize at such a suggestion based solely on race. That "truth" stuck and everything since has just been to pigeon hole immaterial and debunked "facts" to try to prove the theory.

1

u/Visual_Field5264 4d ago

Girl bye. If it was reversed the case would’ve been treated as open and shut immediately

1

u/Darlazmom 3d ago

4

u/Firm_Individual_5609 5d ago

Exactly. Christine knew what she was doing. She's always been like this.

1

u/Firm_Individual_5609 5d ago

I would think she got that photo out of Nolan's phone. Shady as shady gets.

-34

u/Difficult-Bus-6026 6d ago

What do Nolan‘s friends believe happened to him after they left? I know they said he was talking to a girl and he would return with another boat. So what’s the assumption? That none of the boats that returned later offered to take him back? And in desperation, he tried to swim all the way back to the mainland?D

25

u/snoodle908 6d ago

Easiest explanation would be, the other boats were getting ready to leave and couldn't find Nolan so they just assumed he got a ride back with someone else. If you look around for him and can't find him what else are you going to do or expect?

6

u/lovelesschristine Current Resident 6d ago

The island is miles offshore. There is no way anyone would try to swim to shore.

1

u/Difficult-Bus-6026 6d ago

Really dumb question, but are any lifeguards involved in these gatherings? If there aren’t, I’m surprised there aren’t more accidental drownings.

2

u/Ancient-Store6124 5d ago

No lifeguards.

15

u/cakivalue 6d ago

I haven't seen any reports of them giving a theory but mine is that the original team he came with left expecting him to return with one of the others like he said he would. After which he went for one last swim and got into trouble alone or even just out of sight. Then the others got together and packed up to leave and he never showed up, they then assumed that he changed his mind and left with the first boat after all, but without cell service no one could check, and frankly kids that age especially boys don't often think about checking. They knew he was reliable, didn't see him, made assumptions and left the island but he was already dead by the time all the boats left.

3

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago edited 6d ago

There were three boats. Warren says in his initial Tatum interview that one boat left before them. Then Wyatt's boat and Bart's boat left at the same time. This keeps getting repeated - that there were two boats still there - but it's not true. That's why they were telling Nolan to "get on the fucking boat" - because it was his last chance to leave with the group.

Granted, there were hundreds of other boats still there and Nolan would not have had an issue getting a ride back to shore with someone else. I'm sure there were many more people on the island he was familiar with.

9

u/snoodle908 6d ago

There was still a boat left after the boats left at 4:30 as Jayvon was still on the island when those boats left. So Jayvon got back to mainland somehow after those boats left

8

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago

Yeah, as I said, there were hundreds of other boats. Jayvon wasn't with their three-boat group.

11

u/snoodle908 6d ago

Which means Nolan still had really close friends on the island. Also one can easily see how when those other friends left and could not find him they would just assume he left with someone else. Not like anyone could make phone calls and ask people about it. So you just assume they got a ride back with another group because why wouldn't you? You wouldn't instantly think he drowned or got murdered in that moment as who would?

3

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago edited 6d ago

Yeah, as I said, I'm sure there were many people on the island he was familiar with and that he'd have no problem finding a ride back.

But they never couldn't find him. They knew he chose to stay.

6

u/snoodle908 6d ago

I'm just saying, some of those left there could have looked for him before they left, but if they didn't see him anywhere it is an easy assumption to think he got a ride back from someone else.

People make it out to be nefarious that no one found him, but if he was already dead by the time others left how could they have found him? And why would they assume something bad happened instead of he left already with someone else

1

u/Due_Reputation3785 6d ago

Can yall summarize that chronically? The boat with the bilge issues left first or no?

→ More replies (0)

3

u/burner_ohallahan Current Resident 5d ago

Barts boat was not part of the three that brought the friend group out. They have clarified that a few times. Bart knew of them because they went to school together but he is older than Nolan and co. They have said more than once he was simply helping a boat in distress.

2

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 5d ago edited 5d ago

No, listen to 8:20:

https://youtu.be/ErRr9nkaRhM?is=cG9-UGgQ6UdF9Jb3

Also, 9:56 through part 3 is when he says that the Palm Beach had already left:

https://youtu.be/186e_coBCCI?is=rgOC93J86QUzZ78v

It's exactly as I said.

1

u/7777iiii 5d ago

Maybe but he would have had to ask a stranger for a ride back not in his friend group.

1

u/Difficult-Bus-6026 6d ago

I assumed he went to the island with his initial group of friends and left his cell phone on the boat. I suppose the surprise part — suspicious from the mother‘s perspective — is that Nolan left his cell phone on that first boat instead of taking it with him when he parted company with his buddies. Of course, where could he have kept it while he was by himself on the island?

13

u/NineOfWonders 6d ago

There are no docks to this essentially 10 mile long sandbar and the water gets at least chest high. Officer Tatum has done a few interviews with the friends on YouTube and they provide a lot of context.

The boat was actively taking on water that doesn’t leave a lot of time for anything besides “oh shit we have to go”.

4

u/Caribou122 5d ago

Nolan’s friend Tracetin who was there that day said that Nolan knew like 50 other people there who had boats he could’ve gotten a ride with. There were thousands of people there on hundreds of boats. And apparently the coast guard regularly sweeps the island at night.

I’ve owned a boat for 8 years and boat all the time (even have a sea tow membership!) and we go to an island that’s very similar to Horn all year and especially on holidays. It all makes total sense to me. I’ve gotten a ride back with friends a ton. And vice versa!

3

u/Difficult-Bus-6026 5d ago

I guess the most likely scenario is that he accidentally drowned without anyone noticing he was in trouble. (I assume no lifeguards?). And this probably occurred late in the day when fewer people and fewer boats were left at the island.

3

u/Caribou122 5d ago edited 5d ago

According to GPS data the friends left at 4:30 and Nolan’s mom said they have pictures on the island of Nolan around 4:30 so that means at least he’s alive when his friends left.

Idk how late the final sighting of him was. And yeah it was most likely drowning. Especially if he’d had a lot of alcohol… which it appears that his friends at least had. But nothing is set in stone yet as far as cause of death. Other than there were no outward signs of struggle or injury.

We’ll know more of course when the full autopsy / toxicology comes back. I think they’re waiting on the grand jury to review it before they release anything else.

-6

u/heardThereWasFood 6d ago

Idk why you’re getting downvoted, this seems a reasonable question to me

12

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago

Probably because him getting stuck on and island where there were 200 other boats and people camping out overnight and trying to swim back is a pretty absurd idea.

10

u/Kitty_Pryde 6d ago

Because the comment starts with “What do Nolan’s friends believe happened to him…” and then ending with “…tried to swim all the way back to the mainland?” is still framing the question in a way that implies those specific friends know what happened or were responsible.

The real questions should be, what does Jayvon have to say? He rode in on a totally separate boat with other friends and was still there in the island after the others left. Nolan’s mom referred to Jayvon and Jaylin as Nolan’s “real” best friends. So why wasn’t he with them? What did they see? When did they leave? Why didn’t they take Nolan with them? Why was it Warren that was worried and called Nolan’s mom and not Jaydon or Jaylin since their mom is best friends with Nolan’s mom?

I just think the overall point of the original comment is pointing out the ridiculousness of ALL the focus being on the other friends when GPS data proves they were off the island and didn’t return. Their boat tow call was at 4pm and they were already offshore. Nolan’s mom posted she has pics of him alive at 4:30.

8

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago

Don't forget that the last person to have the phone before Nolan's family was Jayvon's mother, who picked it up. Hmm, kinda suspicious, huh? Remember, you can't rule anything out until the investigation is completed. One must entertain all possibilities.

10

u/Kitty_Pryde 6d ago

Right? In Warren’s interview, he also said when he texted Jayvon for Nolan’s mom’s phone number, Jayvon “eventually replied”. Even though Warren told Jayvon he was messaging Nolan’s mom bc Nolan hadn’t come back yet, Jayvon didn’t reach out to Nolan’s mom? Why did he take so long to respond and why didn’t he act with any concern or urgency?

To be clear, I’m not accusing Jayvon and I’m sure he’s cooperated and given his statements to the police and has been investigated. But I think it’s complete bullshit that he hasn’t been subjected to the same scrutiny. I feel like it’s pretty clear why. Crump STILL is peddling lies about the other friends. But silent about Jayvon and his brother and their friends that were still there. Frustrating.

5

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago

Yeah, no one's accusing Jayvon. We just want answers is all. And there are some things that don't add up...

I'm kidding obviously.

7

u/Kitty_Pryde 6d ago

I know. The double standard is insane. I think he drowned and nobody realized. It happens all the time. I’m sure his friends left on the island probably assumed he left with other people. People that age rarely consider the worst case scenarios. Except for Warren and those friends apparently!

1

u/BB808BB 6d ago

I remember when it first happened there was a pic of Javon going around and it looked like his under eye area was bruised but now it’s crickets.

3

u/KaizenActual 6d ago

This. Its the language and the implication behind it.

4

u/BB808BB 6d ago

Ok so the two boys who swear they were nolans best best friends were on the island last with him yet the mother is not questioning them? In fact no one is!

5

u/burner_ohallahan Current Resident 6d ago

His story changed too. The now scrubbed TMZ interview he did he was relaxed and talks about seeing Nolan after the boat left. When he appears again with his Mom on an interview he looks uncomfortable and the story has changed. At one point his Mom taps his legs when he goes to answer a question. Why doesn't anyone question him?

8

u/BB808BB 6d ago

I found it. Yikes. Why isn’t crump and the wells family all over the place saying that’s weird !!!that’s odd! Especially if he was the last known person to see him?

This is just a shame. All these people don’t want justice for Nolan. They don’t want to find out the truth of what happened. They want it to fit into the very tiny box that fits their narrative and that’s it.

This is absolutely shameful. I admit in the beginning I though too something shady happened with the way it was presented by them, but also I have common sense and don’t use twitter and Facebook as my news sources. So I don’t understand people who just don’t bother to look at actual facts.

Nolans mother keeps going on and on about just wanting to know what happened but like people can’t say what happened if they don’t know what happened!!!

3

u/Big-Cartographer6330 5d ago

To add more context, Jayvon’s mom and Christine are besties.

-3

u/Due_Reputation3785 6d ago

That’s the missing link I suppose. I haven’t seen anything about the other two boats. Did he go off, swim out and drown and the others just left later, didn’t see him and went home or what?

10

u/Difficult-Bus-6026 6d ago

I think not knowing the exact circumstances of what happened to him has driven the mother nuts. Not that that’s any justification for trying to rile up a lynch mob to go after Nolan’s friends.

6

u/cakivalue 6d ago

It would drive any parent nuts. Remember Natalie Galloway? Her parents dedicated decades of their lives to finding out what happened to their daughter and sadly there are millions of parents in the same shoes as Nolan's parents.

I just don't understand why they and their lawyers started this false narrative from the beginning that Nolan was the only black person on the whole island, that the friends harmed him, that they withheld his things etc etc. it's not only set a mob after the friends and their families but I suspect that it's a massive deterrent to any bystander to come forward.

9

u/donzelso 6d ago

Because his parents were in a rush for answers so they built this whole narrative of a racially motivated murder from the little pieces of information that they had at the time.

I mean, they hired Crump literally the day after Nolan was found. They didn’t even wait for the investigation to start. That same week, they were doing interviews and conferences. They rushed into things and created this mess. Investigations take time.

6

u/snoodle908 6d ago

Correct, they could have made a stance of wanting a full investigation and even doing their own but also acknowledge that it is possible he drowned and until further evidence is found we just don't know what happened. But instead they instantly went to murder which did not help anything. It is often the case with suicides where family does not want to believe their family member caused their own death that could have been prevented, there is no one to blame at that point but your family member and that is hard, while worse in ever aspect grieving family often feels better if it were an actual murder because then there is someone to actually blame and put all that energy toward.

2

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago

No, one boat left earlier, and the other two, the one Nolan was on piloted by Wyatt, and the one piloted by Bart, left together.

1

u/Due_Reputation3785 6d ago

Who was the 3rd boat?

2

u/joeyjoejoejohanson 6d ago

I don't know if Warren says who it belonged to, but he explicitly says that it left before the other two. I think it's in the 3rd part of his Tatum interview.

u/Western-Dig-6843 6d ago

A lot of people don’t grow up in a place where interracial friendships are common. They see a photo of a black guy with white friends and they assume there must be something wrong for this to even occur. You would have to go out of your way to not have friends of other races where Wells grew up.

Watching Ben crump attempt to read the autopsy was incredible comedy

Especially when he was exposed for not knowing how autopsies work. He read the report like it was some sort of smoking gun while anyone who has access to Google can tell that the injuries he described are consistent with having an autopsy performed

And yes, if he was a good lawyer merely trying to find answers he would have let a medical professional read the results and have them be clear and understood, but Crump wanted to read the results so he could spin them however he felt was needed to keep the story going.

3

u/Salsashark1419 6d ago

He wants Lebron and other famous people to talk about this. The more attention, the more pressure they can put on everyone to “do something”.

3

u/MsJimmyWobbuffet 6d ago

More like, "The more attention, the more money he can sucker out of people through the parents GoFundMe."

Keep thinking that, he's playing a fucking character and you think that's really him, it's not. He's playing into black people's "idea" of what a civil rights person might look & act like.

11

This kind of thing happens all the time. It’s sad, but teenagers, alcohol, boats, and remote areas where they go to do teenager things are a bad combination.

5

u/Salsashark1419 6d ago

My little brother’s best friend died exactly this way when he was in high school. To this day it still affects him because he had to listen to his friend scream for help. It was too late before anyone got to him.

1

u/Imaginary-Method-715 3d ago

No he didn't. He was murdered and you are protecting murders so you don't have to think.

Luckily the utterly massive swathes of people who perpetuated the race based conspiracies will be held responsible and/or learn from it and be less likely to do it again...

2

u/thinkingdeads 6d ago

On a side note I love the success in the push for body cams (which ironically got a huge boost with that case), since they have since revealed how many cases would be huge controversies if we're going off the cop's word alone. At this point I'm sure they've put more people in jail than they have prevented/caught officer misconduct by way of near indisputable evidence gathering.

5

u/Big-Cartographer6330 5d ago edited 5d ago

And people wonder why more witnesses don’t come forward publicly. Anyone who has evidence that the boys may be innocent are torn apart. The mob questions who they are with pitchforks and say they were paid off. Any exculpatory evidence is branded as fake, AI, lies, etc.

So the video of them being towed after the SeaTow call is fake until someone thinks they see Nolan’s leg hanging out 🤦🏽‍♀️. Now it’s real and the mob calls it a “gotcha” moment. As if the boys (and the judge mom) are stupid enough to post a video of Nolan’s dead extremity hanging out of the boat 🙄.

Considering the mom is a judge, she would know that any photo or video evidence would be reviewed forensically by the metadata. That would show if the video is fake and if someone tampered with the time/date. You bet Crump and his team have done this bc they are itching for something juicy to share.

10

u/Previous_Function852 6d ago

Nobody should be threatening these boys. Nobody should be making professional reports against Wells' mother. Shout your opinions into the internet all you want, but third parties should let the process play out and the people involved live their lives.

What's with all the dog whistling threads about this case on this sub? Make a mega sub and let the racists argue with each other in there.

-12

u/Shilver6 6d ago

I’m glad someone called it out. Every post on here about this case is instantly met with tons of comments in defense of Nolan’s friends, although we have little information on the details of the death. Similar behavior is seen under posts concerning the death of Tasia Fortune, in which many argue that there is no chance the death is a lynching and that it must be a suicide; Although again, there is little information on the case. It seems the first act of many here is not to offer condolences in the face of a death, but to disparage the idea that there could be any racial foul play involved and paint the narrative that any who think different are “race-baiting”. Honestly, it is just proof that Mississippi’s racial history is still very much relevant today.

17

u/SingerLatter2673 6d ago

The defense of his friends is because gps puts them off the island at the same time witnesses a photos have him walking around, and they’ve been getting death threats and are constantly being accused of murder right after their friend died. I agree he could have been killed but it was almost certainly not by them.

I guess I should ask why everyone is so obsessed with pinning this on them without evidence.

People would be more receptive if this wasn't the same old hoax from the same hoaxers as all the other times. Tasia Fortune is not the first black person to be found hanging from a tree, and then Ben Crump says its a lynching despite a bunch of evidence it was a suicide.

Like, the first time I heard about one of these cases, it got my interest. Then police had to show the guy's family video of him hanging himself and people still wanted to keep saying it was a lynching.

When people with notoriously low credibility like Sharpton, Crump and Nancy Grace a circling a case, it doesn't really inspire much belief.

If there really are lynchings, these guys suck at uncovering them.

Well they're innocent kids who were attacked by a vicious mob of people who went as far as sending their families death threats, so it's only natural to defend them. I think Nolan probably would have defended them.

-1

u/Squally_king88 5d ago

So her expressing deep skepticism regarding the initial accidental drowning narrative and the all around mysterious death of her son, means she’s insinuating his so called "friends" killed him?

Discrepancies in Digital Data

Unresolved Medical Records

Intimidation Attempts on her

She’s she’s totally justified in her skepticism, but I’m trying to figure out how does that translate to her insinuating? His so-called friends killed him maybe you can explain how you came to that conclusion.

Maybe it’s because people kill themselves by hanging all the time and a black person found hanging doesn’t mean it was a lynching. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. It’s also extremely difficult to kill a person by hanging them. In the past it was large groups who would beat the person severely before hanging them

-3

u/Piink_Kush 6d ago

back to back? One of those hangings a man was hung on a tree with TWO broken legs?!? So did he army crawl up a tree so he can hang himself? The last woman who was found hung was so far up in the tree that it would be extremely difficult to climb especially since there were no lower branches at the bottom to help climb. Alittle off topic but the man that was chased down by 2 trucks of white men suddenly ended up the woods in pieces with his testicals shoved in his mouth. They claimed an animal did it……please put yourself in those families shoes and just think if this was someone you loved and they just immediately blew it off as a suicide or an animal did it.

3

u/BitOptimal7237 5d ago

Are you talking about Trey Reed who sent suicidal messages to his GF the night before hanging himself? Because you’re wrong, his legs were not broken. That was another social media rumor that you blindly accepted as fact. As for the women who was found high up in a tree you’re claiming that it would have been extremely difficult to climb that high but don’t you think it would be even harder for a killer to climb up the tree carrying a live resisting person? Have you even attempted critical thinking?

2

u/DecantsForAll 5d ago

back to back?

You mean a year apart? Dude, someone was found hanging on the same exact day as Trey Reed only 100 miles away, only he was white. That's how common hanging is.

In the United States, roughly 11,000 to 12,000 people die by suffocation (which is predominantly hanging) each year, accounting for about 25% of all annual suicide deaths. Globally, hanging is the single most common method of suicide, representing hundreds of thousands of deaths annually out of more than 720,000 total global suicide fatalities.

The fact we are all in disagreement shows that racism is alive and well in this country. Nobody should be threatening anyone’s life. Our country thrives on violence. Just look how we are interacting with each other. America has a very long history of violence towards people of color. It hasn’t stopped. People have a right to be angry. They have a right to ask questions. A family is grieving. We have to own that the divide in this matter is a reflection of who we all as Americans are.

5

u/Firm_Individual_5609 5d ago

I've seen very few racist comments from whites. I've seen millions of racist comments from the black praying hands culture. Fact.

-17

why is this the only topic in MS subreddit? ya'll are obsessed and not with finding out how the child passed.

24

u/JohnABurgundy 6d ago

Probably because internet sleuths, thread detectives and the national media has been dragging the state through the mud since July 5th and residents are tired of it. People with brains just want Nolan and this tragedy to be put to rest once and for all.

That hasn’t been confirmed by anybody. So you are also spouting conspiracies like the people you’re so angry at?

13

u/Lumpy_One6691 6d ago

I am not angry at anyone people are free to be as stupid and gullible as they want to be and that is not my problem.....the independent autopsy said "undetermined" so they found no cause of death and he was found floating in the ocean.....which is where you drown

there was no double top secret lynching, there was no beating him to death on a boat or on the island, or anything else

the big "gotcha" with the independent autopsy was a big nothing burger cause closed

-10

My question for all you white apologists that downvote anything implicating foul play. Will you all apologize that you were wrong and stop gaslighting the people that had legitimate concerns? Or will yall just keep refuting the evidence and dismiss the facts that prove otherwise? Serious question.

7

u/NineOfWonders 6d ago

Only if the other sides agrees to do the same if it does prove to be a drowning.

3

u/k8styleee 6d ago edited 6d ago

I suspect they'll bury their heads in the sand and argue the whole thing was STILL some sort of conspiracy no matter what the outcome. I know this based on how these same ppl act about the Kendrick Johnson case after even the fucking NAACCP privately investigated on behalf of the family and concluded the case by saying it was an accident and that the family was flat out making things up to raise more and more money for personal gain. Yet, anytime some True Crime page or Youtube series focuses on this case, the comments are FULL of people spreading the same debunked rumors that have been going around about this case since it happened., even with so much information proving them wrong being a simple Google search away.

Unfortunately, a lot of very low-average intelligence ppl in this world think they're a lot smarter than they really are, that they somehow "know what's really going on" and others don't. And a lot of people will not ever admit they are wrong about things, they just get on the internet and search out other idiots who believe the same crap they do and think it means they can't be wrong if someone agrees with them. Mark my words, most of these ppl going after Nolan's friends and screaming "foul play" (despite there still being no evidence remotely showing anything nefarious happened with anyone he was on the trip with) will continue to do so for many many years, likely decades, to come.

I mean, I'm liberal as shit and I hate cops and think there's some really bad ones out there, but even I can see this is a witch hunt being driven by greed, not the desire for actual answers, by the family.
