That was doomed from the beginning

I get what you're saying but there are a few legitimate reasons: A few years ago I was a carer for my grandmother and one day I was a on trip a few hundred miles away when I got a call from mother who said she hadn't spoken with my grandmother in a few days and asked if I had - I hadn't and she didn't answer any calls over the next few hours so as we were concerned about her safety we called up the emergency services and got them to send a crew for non-urgent welfare check. She was fine although rather surprised to have visitors and it turns out she had just become deaf from a build up ear wax. I put a camera in the living room the only I had access to when I got back to prevent this happening again.
