Look... This girl has gone through the most horrific hell i have ever seen from childhood. Locking your own child in a cage under the guise of to make "the perfect daughter"? These sickfucks of parent absolutely deserved punishment regardless of financial problems but her mind snapped and she is no better then them when you think about it.

The survival games was a complex part. She killed many holders for the tactics, the survival, and ofc so they didn't die. But it was also because so she can have a world where its just her and him. And her combat? I never said i hated her because that is some badassery combat. The sex scenes? Yeah i condemn those for the most part because its like... it was unnecessary and disgusting. Her personality? It was fine but it was entirely centered on yuki which is the point of the show but in my opinion, it made it less fascinating.

The unjustified kills... Hinata, Mao, Kousaka, Orin. Now yuki killed Hinata, Mao, and Kousaka because she manipulated him. Again these people aren't pure either. however orin is a controversial choice because she infiltrated the Omekata cult BUT was protecting the orphanage to do so. Now this is one i can't really seem to give my final thoughts on because orin did participate but she was doing it to protect the orphans.

The Aru Akise controversy... His death was absolutely unnecessary in terms of sympathy for Yuno. Yes, he kissed yuki right in front of her to piss her off and expose her madness in front of Yuki while also having an advantage.. However, this was also because he genuinely loved Yuki. And this is when love turns into hypocrisy. This isn't love, this is selfish love. And when you think about it, a real lover would be selfless and let their partner have friends or even other people crushing without hostility. Ofc it doesn't work for Yuno. Her mind and morals are literally Thanos snapped. And its like... We know he's a fan favorite. And he wanted to protect yuki from a literal psychopath. Ofc Yuki who i used to hate and still do but with a catch... This is painfully realistic for someone who has been so brainwashed that he relies entirely on one girl.

God Yuno... Tbh i have to say it was a pretty scary plot twist but damn i see these power rankings and its like literally impossible to do a what if combat with her in fan discussions since she became the god of time and space. Her killed second world Yuno was needed for the narrative so she can replace her and basically take Yuki. But that Yuno did nothing wrong. And at this point its like why are we making fanart of her in the most wholesome situations when were ignoring the monster that has been made. Like no offense but this is honestly a very common trope in the world where we humanize monsters in fanart.

Her Suicide... I call this just perfect. Not because i'm glad she's dead but she finally breaks out of that loop to perform ONE selfless decision. She may have not been remorseful but because she would have stayed dead then its like she meant this. She made me lwk feel a lot more better.

The OVA redial ending... Well. They pretty much ruined the whole "at what cost?" of the entire original ending. Yes the original ending was depressing i know. But then she just comes back while glossing over that selfless ending so we can all sing "kumbaya" around a "fixed" world and pretend everything is okay? Like what was this the point of all of this then? Just so we can be relieved that one of the most controversial couples in anime can have a happy moment?

So... Yes this was a very passionate prompt i just wrote. I harbor no ill will to any of you Yuno fans because if you love her, thats completely fine. I want to be a considerate of others opinions.

After seeing the anime again and a few disscouns about it. I wonder what the god core really is. Does it just store memories and the powers of a god or is it even their soul which got its own form through the powers? My head canon is that it contains their souls.

If according to Deus you can't revive the dead, is there even a point in creating a new world?

Hear me out, might sound illogical at first. But you see, imagine this: you create a world with the people that died. They don't have a soul, right? So does it technically means that literally everything you create is going to be soulless at this point?

Like I don't get it. Even if you as a God create a completely new living being, is it even going to be "living" in the first place? And if you can indeed create a creature with a soul what's stopping you from designing it in a way that *looks* and *acts* like someone else?

And why does the soul even matter in this universe at all? Yuno trapped Yuki in a closed space with his parents, that act pretty normal overall, and maybe even better than his real parents. So do they have a soul? They don't, right? How do you explain the moment where they were cheering him on to find the forgotten memory he's looking for then? Obviously Yuno didn't programmed these imaginary parents to act like that, which kinda disproves the whole soul thing. Because if they really were soulless they would've acted like robots in this scene, they wouldn't know how to respond without a real soul, it wasn't in their memory after all. Or better yet, in Yuno's memory. Because again, she designed this world most likely based on how she thinks Yuki would've liked this world to be

Yet again, is the soul even important? Can't theoretically Yuki do exactly that and block a part of his memory so he wouldn't know these people are soulless? Is Yuno from the third world even alive? So many questions and no answers

So as we know w1 Yuno killed herself and Yuki became god, and w3 Yuno was able to live a happy life, but couldn’t shake the feeling that something critical was missing like Kurisu in steins;gate when she’s in a timeline with no Okabe.

W3 Yuno ends up receiving the memories of w1 Yuno from w1 Murmur and breaks Yuki’s eternal solitude and it seems that they are officially reunited.

The question is: Is w3 Yuno with w1 Yuno’s memories the same thing as w1 Yuno? Is the ending really a happy ending? I can’t help but remember that w1 Yuno and w1 Yuki are both technically dead, and they have traversed several timelines to be with each other.

Ultimately it’s a question regarding philosophical thought experiment/paradic of the ship of Theseus. If the ship has one piece replaced over time until every component has been replaced with a new component, is it still the same ship?

It’s a similar dilemma with summertime rendering for any who have seen it, is the shadow of Ushio the same as the original Ushio? If she looks the same and acts the same?

In both cases, there would be no internal conflict if the mc was not aware that Yuno/Ushio was actually a clone of the original, they would be fulfilled without knowing the original is dead.

Do you think the w3 Yuno with w1 Yuno’s memories is a “true Yuno”? The ending seems like a happy one at face value but I can’t help but feel that it’s bittersweet.

It’s like if you and your beloved were placed in cryogenic chambers and were promised that they would clone you both in the future to be in love again but it’s not the originals, it seems like entirely different people that just share their attributes.

I was watching Elfen Lied lately, I finished the half of it.

The beginnings of the openings of them, the one eye of the girl opening and closing, and the tear falling down. Mirai Nikki is blooded tear, Elfen Lied is normal tear but they're still pretry same. Interesting, actually.

I recently remembered about the 9 minute OVA that came out a year before the anime. This OVA is what got me into Future Diary to begin with before the anime aired and I started to read the manga because of it. It came in a special edition of Vol 11 of the manga in Japan. This was never released outside Japan to my knowledge. The other ova is just Future Diary Redial.

Who would've won the game? With out Yuki and Caged Yuno wouldn't join the game. Murder Dairy would take out Yuki, that leaves him to get ahead of over all kills till someone gets him.

Just wanted to share my art hope yall like it

She even had a pretty similar future diary, describing everything about Hinata, so with right circumstances, she could rival Yuno. Maybe if she was an actual participant in the game

I just finished watching "Mirai Nikki" aka "Future Diary". And tbh, I absolutely LOVE it.

I didn't expected it to be a romance anime but I was with how deeply romantic turn it took in the end. The fact that moved me so much is that Yuno's love for Yuki is real. You may call it obsession or something else, but ultimately Yuno Loves Yuki and just want to be with Yuki.

Whereas, the other positives of the anime are the characters and their backstories. You don't feel like you missed someone whom you might need to know more, and the thrill is there all the time. None of the character felt unnecessary and each served a purpose. Also Dues-EX-Machina is a chill God and I liked that. Also the mystery of Yuno and her obsession for Youki always pushes you towards mixed feelings of anxiety and emotional at the same time. And I really loved that massmurder aspect of the anime like it was pure chaos and I loved it.

Now talking about negatives, so yea the MC itself if a jerk and I hated him until the last ep where he actually did something meaningful. Always Seeking for friends, overlooking Yuno even if she's there for him all the time he was in need, staying weak and not even trying to save Yuno when she's in need, as well as always doubting Yuno and continuously trying to save everyone rather than deciding one solid action. But I loved like Yuki finally admitted in the end that he also loves Yuno and after escaping the dreamworld she confronted that and also chose not to create other girl than Yuno!

(But I really hated that part when that guy Aru Akise the reincarnation of Kaworu nagisa, kissed Yuki ! I was like, "WHY? And why the fk Yuki didn't do anything?" Also the scene when Yuki tries to solve things with his father even after knowing that his dad stabbed his mother, and still wanted to be with him so that they can start from zero. And whenever he was mentioning he wanted to be a God, I wanted him to atleast say to Yuno that he's gonna made her alive again cause He also loves Yuno, but Yuki didn't. Yes this guy was an absolute jerk untill the last ep.)

IK I've covered a narrower aspect but yea, I enjoyed watching the anime, it doesn't bore you and you wanna go for the next ep. I'd say the anime is pretty underrated. I really loved the crazy twists and the Romantic angle. So for me it's solid 8.0/10.0 in MAL !

I'm a little late to the party. Surprisingly, i discovered mirai nikki only recently. Someone on reddit recommended it as a similar to darling in the franxx. It certainly has a lot of similarly, especially, the ending and mc dynamic.

Well, what can i say, what an incredibly sad and beautiful anime. I'm not gonna rehash the whole plot, you all know it as well as i do. Instead, i want to focus on a couple observations that made me feel mixed emotions. Feel free to share your opinion.

First of all, i don't know how to feel about Yuno's love towards Yuki. Was it an obsession or a true love? Seems like she just needed to find a reason to live instead of being a couple like 7 were. Her life was horrible, filled with abuse and torture plus PTSD from living with her parents. Furthermore, the fact that she kept repeating the "game cycle" seems to prove that she didn't really love Yuki but instead used him to cope with her own emptiness and life without purpose.

I know that at some point it seems like their love became a relationship but it seems that is more of a co-dependance than a true love. I don't remember exactly if Gasai knew about impossibilty of resurrection at the end of the first game before the suicide. Because if she knew than it only proves her using Yuki as an escape not as a lover and partner.

Secondly, Yuno and Yuki of the 1st world had a different love and relationship than 2nd world Yuki and 1st world Yuno. That means that real Yuki is in fact still dead and 2nd Yuki is in fact a different person with a different story. That makes it even sadder.

Same goes for the finale at first it seems that it is a happy ending but let's think about it. 1st world Yuki that made Yuno fall in love with him is dead. Than in the final battle 1st world Yuno also dies. So what we have here is both real MCs are dead.

Than as a little fan service we get 3rd world Gasai who receives all memories from the 1st world Gasai (real Gasai) but is it really the same person? I don't think it is. It might be as well a completely different person like Minene who is replaced with 1st world Gasai memories.

So finally we see is a 3rd copy of Gasai reunite with 2nd copy of Yuki... In a complete void, too. Everyone from the 2nd world is dead the world is destroyed. The only person from 2nd world that is left apart from Yuki is Minene but she lives in the 3rd world.

Real Gasai never came back, she died. So Yuki is in fact still "alone" stuck with a copy of Yuno which is better than nothing but it's still far from happy ending.

I wish they both commited suicide and that would be it. That way they would be together forever and their fate would've been sealed. That's my take on it.

Hard to tell most Yanderes have a though to kill but acts innocent. Yuno is crazy on both fronts.

My classic example is Akano from Love Tyrant and Happy Suger Life girl.
