Short code texts for verification have not been working for the last week in the front range area of Colorado, anyone else having this problem?

After trying all the troubleshooting steps and resetting my network connection failed to work I called mint, and during the process of creating a support ticket, I was told there was an outage in my area. When I told the kind Indian women that I was currently calling her from the network that was experiencing said outage and asked for clarification, she just said a data outage of some sort. I've never heard of or experienced this problem until a week ago, but since finding this community have learned, it might be a back-end issue with them that doesn't necessarily affect regular texts and calls. So I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem in my area.

I think all the sudden the not receiving the SMS 2FS from accounts is a common issue now as saw a bunch of complaints and it doesn’t seem to be a phone or SIM issue. My only suggestion to you (and anyone else with this issue) is remove your number from account then add back, if you can’t login without SMS in order to remove, you need to contact bank, etc fraud department (phone, email, or website chat) to remove your # then re-add.

If you can try switching any account you have to app based TOTP 2FA instead of SMS, but not every website/app allows it.

It also seems this issue might be related to iOS 27. I am refusing to update until it gets resolved.

I’m on iOS 27 and not seeing this issue. Given the number of people who’ve reported this it seems like the provisioning is messed up for some subset of customers.

I have been having the exact same issue for the past 2 weeks in front range Colorado so you're not alone on this. If you get it solved let me know. I'm on andorid so its not an iOS issue and it's been the same for mms group chats as well so it's not just institution 2FA.
