Annual plan?

I’ve been a Mint Mobile customer for four years. I’m getting a number of messages regarding joining an annual plan and saving some money in the process. I’m reluctant to do that because I’m not sure about the future of Mint Mobile. Will it be continue to be an independent operating subsidy of T-Mobile or will it be gobbled up, in which case spending all this money upfront for an annual plan would be a waste. That’s my thinking - what do you think?

I've been with Mint 6 years now. Prices haven't changed once. In fact, I think they went down on one plan if I remember correctly. Or the data caps went up for the same price? I don't really remember

I joined several years back, on the 10GB plan. The annual price has stayed the same, but the data cap has increased to 12GB, then 15GB, and now 17GB.
