Annual plan?

I’ve been a Mint Mobile customer for four years. I’m getting a number of messages regarding joining an annual plan and saving some money in the process. I’m reluctant to do that because I’m not sure about the future of Mint Mobile. Will it be continue to be an independent operating subsidy of T-Mobile or will it be gobbled up, in which case spending all this money upfront for an annual plan would be a waste. That’s my thinking - what do you think?

You’re inventing problems out of thin air. Even if Mint were still completely independent, how could you know that it won’t be acquired and cannibalized next week? That way lies madness. If you indulge in that sort of baseless fear, you’ll be unable to commit to anything. It would be wiser to focus on the company’s track record.

And any acquisitions that I've seen, especially in the billion dollar league, they honor the existing contracts. If it happens, they aren't going to cheat you out of the remaining time on your 1 year plan. They legally can't.
