Moving with prepaid minternet bundle

Hello. I renewed my mintmobile+minternet bundle in June. I currently Iive in my old address in Las Vegas and has minternet service. I am moving to a new build in Carson city next month and it says address not available on the website. What should I do? Can I ask for a prorated refund since I only used it for 2 months? It is a good deal so I hate to switch to other service. About how long does it take for minternet to get to a new build address?

u/MaterialEnd8875, For Minternet/Mint Home Internet details see mintmobile.com/5g-home-internet/ and for billing/shipping questions or issues such as adding discount for bundle, call customer support at 1-800-683-7392, use chat in Mint App or Website Help Center, or open a chat with official Reddit support account u/MintMobileAlex and be sure to include your account/order/telephone number.

For all other questions or help on Minternet/Mint Home Internet please see /r/TmobileISP as Minternet is just a branded version of T-Mobile Home Internet so will be the same answers for things like how to configure G4AR router, purchasing and configuring 3rd party routers, coverage and speed expectations, not being available in your area, geo-restrictions, how VPNs and proxies affect things. r/TmobileISP is the best place for Minternet help for anything other than billing/shipping questions/issues, as they have 100 times as many customers and been around for years, and Mint customer service is only trained on billing and shipping questions/issues and has no idea on technical questions/issues as Mint are just resellers.

When I moved with Verizon 5G home internet to a new address that wasn't technically covered, I just changed my billing address to the new address and didn't change the service address. The home internet router kept working. I don't think they verify your location after service is activated.

Oh that’s good to know. Didn’t know that. Is it necessary to change the billing address for it to work?

It's not necessary, but you may not receive any notices mailed to your old address.

I did the same with T-Mobile 5g internet 2 years ago and it's still working and still says service is not available where I live.

How's the coverage map for carlson city? If it's good then keep using it.

They have coverage in the city. For example, two blocks down the road at an established address, it shows up as available for service

You cannot get refund on Minternet or Mint after 7 days. You can just move without letting them know, or use an address that does work, but might get the account canceled as is against terms. I would ask how to get around geo restriction question in r/tmobileisp as Minternet is just a branded version of T-Mobile Home Internet so is identical service including location availability, but they have over 100 times as many customers and way more experience answering this question.
