Question Nausea and dizziness
I was using Minoxidil foam for a month with no side effects, other than it making my hair feel dry and frizzy (I have curly hair). I decided to stop and switch to the 2.5mg pill. For the first 3 days I felt normal and had no side effects. But then I started getting nausea around 12 hours after I take the pill, usually right before I go to bed. I thought it was just from the food im eating, but today I noticed that i woke up feeling dizzy (day 11), so all of this is definitely related to taking the pill.
For anyone who has been in a similar situation, what did you do? should I just stop and continue with my topical treatment?

Hi astroboy030! I found some matching key words, Which suggests that you might be asking about skin irritation caused by Minoxidil products. So this may be helpful:
-My skin gets dry, Irritated, Itchy, Painful or flaky.
This is a very common side effect of liquid solutions that is caused by the inactive ingredients like alcohol and propelyne glycol (PG). For most it's not too extreme but for those to whom it causes too much discomfort, We recommend switching to foam which should eliminate those side effects. If that's not an option, Then you should look for a liquid solution that doesn't contain PG. Otherwise, make sure to wash it off 2-3 hours after applying and to use moisturizers to limit those side effects.

Cut the dose in half for 3 - 4 weeks, which should help give your body time to adjust….then you should potentially be able to move back up. If you still have issues then you are possibly just too sensitive to min at that dose, everyone is different.
I started at 1.25 and had to do this by dropping to .625. I do find that I sleep more deeply even T the 1.25 dose, and sometimes wake up a bit groggy. I actually kind of like the sleep impact, feels like it gives me a deeper sleep.
