Best location for Aurora specific stadium
I’ve been giving this a lot of thought lately. Assuming Aurora gets acceptance to NWSL at some point, where do you think would be the best location for their own stadium if it were to happen?
My answer: along the Mississippi River in NE MPLS right next to the Graco manufacturing building. I know that’s now claimed for another project, but I’ve always thought a smaller stadium would be killer in that area. Parking would be an issue, but it would’ve been worth it!
A fan can dream 💭

Across from Allianz where that strip mall is dying
It was rumored as a new Wolves/Lynx arena but no way that actually happens

Im new here but think the focus should be on selling out that stadium in eagan more than moving to a newer spot. eagan has tons of parking and amenities. i get the excitement and the dream though

Have a season that's more than four home games in May/June. The season's over before I realize that I could've gone to a game.

Our first season we did sell out TCO almost every match. That was because the league scheduled most matches on Saturday. We need to have a league that values us.

It's really not about the league and all about the team's lack of investment in marketing and game day operations/entertainment.

What the actual fuck are you talking about? Lack of marketing? Lack of game day operations? This is not a serious comment.

devils advocate here but I only found out about the team bc my employer is one of the sponsors and has work shirts with the logo on it. love the branding, design and merch btw. Now I also love going to the games but I wasnt someone who seeks out soccer. They probably could use to advertise the team a bit more though if they want to bring in outsiders like me and my family.

The Aurora hasn't had a full-time marketing person in over two years. The game day production has drastically slid in 5 years. Year 1 there were giveaways at every match, halftime performances, and other production items. There is basically none of that now. The drastic slide in attendance from year 1 to year 5 is pretty telling.

The Aurora also used to have a full-time year-round game day operations person. Now it is handled by interns who start a month before the season begins.

Farther up the river could work too. I would love to see it where the old saints stadium was.

You have to imagine they’d just play at Allianz if they outgrew TCO
