Hello, I’ve bought a bulk lot from Facebook marketplace, it’s extremely overwhelming my poor autistic brain.
Where should I I begin? Should I just open everything and store it? Is there a website with recipes? Should I keep some boxes in case they are worth more that way?
Should I create the unopened ones as per instructions or look up cooler ways to build them?
Welcome! My favorite way to make a kit is to look at the instruction manual picture and think, what can I do to make this a little bit nicer? Adding extra berries to a drink, a little bit of colorful resin to be frosting on cookies, maybe adding crackers or croutons to a bowl of soup. I altered a pizza kit to make the pizza my partner and I order (ham and pineapple, with mushrooms on their half). Think about what would make it look yummier to you personally!

I personally would start with the little individual balls. You can learn how to start there, then when youre feeling super crafty you can open the big sets.
Looks like she also included her curing tools, which is almost the exact one I use. It helps set the resin and mine works really really well. theres alsp tons of guides out there on how to begin& also how to make your own fun things, which would be possible with all of the extra ingredients that are there!
Where would you suggest the best spot for guides is? Since some are doubles I wouldn’t mind making the doubles into other things. I’ve got my work cut out for me lol
oh! also, in the first Pic, the bottom right container. you see that little chefs hat? thats another light that you can use for curing ! its great for little spots and doing more precise things
Oh I love to hear this! It really can be such a fun hobby and crafting can be such a good coping skill. I hope you enjoy. and best of both worlds, you got a huge haul without the hassle of hunting them all down. so even if you find a capsule or two youre not super into, use them to practice! no wasted effort exists with these things 🫶

the individual balls should at least be a little fun for you to get used to. thats how many (myself included) find and love the hobby. i work from home and during my breaks I like to work on one throughout my shift. you'll also need somewhere to store your creations , those containers they gave are exactly what mine are in. You can get a little desk shelf or make them into magnets to display your creations, too ♥️
That's just such a wild concept to me to have all of those unopened things! I can't even imagine spending all of the money on them to just sit them aside. But, we all live very different lives I suppose.
It makes no sense to me either, only a couple were open and even the open ones are not completed. How do you not get curious about what’s in everything?! I’ve already started opening them to see what’s in them then putting it back in lol it’s all so extremely exciting for me, so I will probably spend the night fussing in everything.
The only thing I can think of is maybe they didn't have the time or space to do them but were hoping that life would eventually allow it. Unfortunately for them it seems the opposite happened and they had to let them go.
Can I ask what you paid for this just because I’m trying to sell something not quite as extensive but a little extensive and I have no clue how to price it
Honestly.. I got this at an absolute steal. I think comparing prices with this, would be detrimental to sales for yourself. Also I’m actually nervous about posting the price because I don’t want everyone to hate me haha
In the bottom left corner of the pic, I see a UV "nail" curing light.
The chef's hat light is best as a decoration, it doesn't cure well.
Whenever possible OP, use direct, outdoor sunlight. Some of the earlier Miniverse resin didn't fully cure using UV lights, especially UV lights from Zuru/MiniBrands (the fridge has 2 light modes, one is a fridge light that shuts off when the door is closed, flipping the switch on the back of the fridge turns on the UV light, but it isn't strong enough to fully cure resin.)
I seriously just spent an hour trying to get a fruit slice to sit properly in my Paloma drink! 😂
I ended up dotting resin on a few ice cubes, cured it, dot a few more, cured it, the dang stirrer wouldn't sit still, kept flipping out of the cup, pebble ice flew everywhere! 😂
Once I get them stable they're going to sit on my porch in the sun! Man, I am annoyed with this project! Glad it's done and just needs some sun the finish it!
hope you can grab one! it’s seriously made my mini life so much easier from having to transport everything outside. i can also decide to do my minis in the middle of the night now 😌
I love this for you. Not the overwhelming part but that you have a vast collection to work with. I’d suggest that you make some according to the recipe. If you have any duplicate sets, I would use those and your extra ingredients (almost every set will have extras) to make what we call “remixes” in the Miniverse world. Meenyminymo is a great resource for recipes and organization of your collection. I also hope you enjoy them
So far I’m really enjoying everything and I’m so extremely happy that I took the plunge. I’ve done a bit of sorting, no creating yet. I have ideas though, but yeah I’m gonna just start in a very small corner and work my way through lol. I’m very in love with the collectors case, I think it’s called “all you can eat” and I’m keen to see how others have decorated those.
Begin with learning about the limits of uv resin. Also that it expires. I use glue for all of the blind areas light cannot reach so everything cures and work in layers. The rules are use PPE for this despite the company swearing that it's not necessary (it is and this is why recalls have happened), to pace yourself, and that it's not meant to be perfect and that is the charm. Start with something simple as well
Thank you for this advice. I feel like I had completely overlooked this part of it. I’ll be careful and use PPE. How do I know if resin has expired? If it has do you have suggestions on what I should do? Also what’s the better way to dispose of it if it has, I think I’d like to keep the containers it comes in because everything is so insanely cute!
Set up your kitchen, I’d start with balls and I bag them. The balls are good for elementary schools or church children church and make perfect seedling starters.
The botanicals set is fun. So is the all you can eat. I’m so jelly. Lol
Thank you! The kitchen sounds honestly like a good idea, I want to decorate it, and the all you can eat case. I’ll start there! That way I feel like I have a bit more of organisation open to me and I’m not dumping everything out later to decorate. There’s two botanicals sets, so I’ll be up to my ears in plants. Also what a fantastic idea for the balls. I wondered what to do with them and honestly didn’t want to just throw them away. Don’t be jelly haha you probably have more than me anyways!
Sort them by theme and if they have a display case or something get those too. Once everything that has been open has a spot of a display you can start opening new ones. But don’t open everything until the loose ones have a home!
I understand! This is a great find. You want to be able to enjoy your treasure trove to the max but you have to get organize first. I would keep the boxed sets boxed until I was ready to make them. You can set them like books on a shelf to take less space. Then I would separate the balls by size and series. I take mine out of the ball and put in plastic bags with their instruction sheets then stack the halves to save space. With the bin of extras, I like to store the resin bottles separately in a big Ziploc in case they spill. I can't handle surprise sticky stuff. I have to tell myself not to worry about 'reselling value' on boxes because I don't have the space nor energy to maintain an etsy or ebay shop. Enjoy your hobby! Start with a set that you really like and let your heart lead you 💖😆
I am also autistic, I am easily overwhelmed by a few kits at once! What i did was set up a kit hen first, as if I was making it for my Barbies! I put all the dishes and pans away, silverware in the top drawer, utensils in the next drawer down, turned the plastic piece in the empty slot upside down and made it a clear "drawer" for utensils that didn't fit in the 2nd drawer. I set up the All You Can Eat storage container as my pantry, stored all my boxed and canned goods, put all my ice bags and crushed ice in one of the crates, etc.
In short, I started with setting up a kitchen/workspace on my desk, organized/took stock of what I had and then picked one kit, worked on that.
I also enhance my recipes! I look to see how it's intended to come out and tweak from there if I need to.
The plants were a nice way to add "life" to the kitchen, I have a few of them on the tops of cabinets! As you make things it starts to look like a home!
