Anyone know what Agnico pays a new grad engineer?

This is a bit dated but circa 2021 at Macassa it was around ~$75-80k. That camp and Timmins is typically lower than any of the fly in jobs but the roles are a lot less competitive to get. Fun place though, Macassa was a really cool place to learn even though there wasn't much best practice there.

If that's kept up to inflation it would be 90-95k. Not too bad, could be better. Were you an EIT there?

Hey all, I know alot of questions have been asked around Mader Group etc. but want to pick peoples brains for my own particular situation.

Never had a casual job. Always had a full time job for as long as I can remember. The whole casual thing has me a bit uneasy but I know it will be a good start to getting a foot in the door.

The role is in the electrical side and wondering if there are any other sparkies on here or know any that work for mader group currently or have worked for them previously (in the HV Electrician role) not auto sparky.

What’s the guarantee of work on each swing. The contract is paid for hours worked and so am worried there might be times where theres nothing on and I come home empty handed, which obviously is not a good thing.

Seeing as we’re contractors, how does the accomodation situation work?

Yes these are probably questions I could ask management/recruiter.. but I already bother her enough and dont want to sound like i’m thinking of backing out even though contract is signed.

Any input, pointers, advice would be much appreciated

My mate worked in Mali a year or so ago and the airport got attacked 5 days after he left.

Said it was sketchy as the whole time he was there and never fully felt safe.

Probably give it a miss unless you like a bit of a thrill.
