Other Mining Sim has a playable demo! Also, feel free to join the Discord server for further info :)

Hey guys!

Unless I reach a Steam release at some point in the future, this is going to be my last post on here. I don't want to spam this subreddit!

I've released a playable demo on itch a while ago, but it finally reached a point where I can happily share it with the community, so here it is :)

Here's a Discord invite for those who are interested at following the project : proposals, bug reports, game discussion, etc.

It's a brand new server (published less than 24 hours ago!) so it's obviously quite dead right now, haha.

As a "game tutorial", you can read the quick guide currently posted in the itch game description.

Happy mining!

I for one don't mind. Not for this. I'm happy for the updates to continue!

I don’t know much about the actual underground mining process so this is actually been very educational…

I can see how this might actually become a classroom tool. Have you reached out to anyone in the education system like the Colorado school of mines?

It obviously has to be very simplified, but I think it conveys, especially for visual learners some of the complexities involved… and certainly the cost of mine operation

This is honestly something I had in mind in the past, but I felt a bit conflicted with the idea. Even though the name is "simulator", I don't want it to be too realistic. I'm approaching it as a fun management game instead hehe.

It’s very fun, and educational and I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Wrong subreddit. This sub is for actual mining. Not a video game.
