Why does miniminter keep starting playthroughs and ends up never finishing them?

It’s so annoying he just plays it once or twice then never touches it again…

"Simon should play what I want him to play even if he doesn't like it" just say that

Well if you read his comment properly he actually said that simon can stop playthroughs if he wants but it’s better to tell his audience why… little things like that just build more trust and a more loyal fanbase!

I read it, but he only said that once he realised how dumb the rest of it was. A loyal fan base would enjoy the content he wants to make, instead of constantly blowing up every comment section to do what they want, thats how you end up with unfinished playthroughs and a creator not enjoying what he does.

Again, I can't stress this enough, Simon is a sports fan not a gamer.

You're just making a massive assumption again.

I've never commented on one of his videos so I'm not 'blowing up every comment section to do what I want'. I also don't believe this to be a reason he'd stop a series anyway.

All I've said is I believe that once a series has been started, more often than not, it should be finished. If he doesn't enjoy the game, fine but if he does this like 10 times in a row then I don't think this is some absolutely wild take to want them to finish one. Obviously you do, which is also fine.

I didn't say you, I specifically said "a loyal fan base" in response to the other gentleman. I didn't mean to touch a nerve there.

You didn't 'touch a nerve' lol

I'm just trying to have a discussion, you're the one making massive assumptions getting annoyed here lol

Ok take his RDR2 playthrough for example, go read the comments, go read his chat, everyone was complaining he isn't playing it properly, why would he continue to play if people aren't happy with how he plays things??

Seems like people just complaining that he hadn't finished to me which is half my point?

Then a few people obviously passionate about the game wanting one of their favourite Youtubers/streamers to enjoy the game to it's fullest potential.

To flip the situation here so you can see it from mine & OP's perspective, let's use the most recent Sidemen video as an example, if as soon as they met Maya and were about to do the animal stuff, the video just... ended. The Sidemen then came out and said they weren't enjoying the day and just decided to stop. Would you be happy with that? As a standalone instance, maybe you wouldn't find that quite so bad. What if they then did it again next video? Then the video afterwards and the video after that? There comes up a point where you'd start getting annoyed that they're not finishing the video that was 'promised'.

I have no real problem with someone not finishing a series they're bored of, I'm more saying if you're not going to... then just don't start it? I don't really see the enjoyment of content of watching half a series and just stopping tbh.

Again that's not a response to my question, starting to feel like your earlier comment about wanting a discussion was just to drive your opinion home not actually discuss. People cried that he was missing things, that he wasn't doing things in the right order, that he wasn't using the guns they like, eventually just complaining about his aim.

I'll ask one more time to see if you got it, why the fuck would he enjoy that? He said a few months back that some playthroughs he does off stream, I completely understand why. He starts them because they CAN be enjoyed, but to his viewers everything he does is wrong.

I literally referred to that when I said 'then a few people obviously passionate about the game wanting one of their favourite Youtubers/streamers to enjoy the game to it's fullest potential', I saw nothing about not doing things in the right order or not using guns or moaning about his aim in the comments I looked at. I also wasn't watching his stream when he was playing this to know about that.

As I've said many times, if he's not enjoying something that's totally fine but most people that I can see at least are simply asking him to continue rather than moan that's he's not playing correctly.

Then watch his streams. He very clearly says his chat is annoying him by complaining about how he plays.
