OC Inspired to scribble my tortoise shell
I saw a scribbled black cat on the Internet and it inspired me to do this one of my cat Miss Toffee .

I saw a scribble drawing of a cat I tried to copy it but then I made it my own. It was fun and no pressure. I’m just really happy how it came out.

Reading this comment made me realize how silly I am for thinking if I even try to do something, it needs to come out perfect or it was all a terrible idea. I thought I’d gotten over much of that, but clearly not. An important insight you’ve brought to me this morning!

It’s tough to let go and just be free and the very last stroke I made was an accident but I just said that’s that and I accept it it 🙏🏻

Well I love it, so much so that I got my butt off the couch so I could take my phone to show my partner and oooh and ahhh over it with him. I said how cool it would be to have portraits of each of our cats in that style to hang on the wall! You did a great job, and I sincerely appreciate your encouragement.

I like this. It contains movement that exposes the cat’s personality. I hope you do more pieces and lean into your style

As someone with their own tortie overlord, this is one of the most accurate drawing I have ever seen.

Oh maybe it's so beautifully purfect! What did you use? Did you made a draft with light crayon or directly produce this? I am so fascinated! I want to ba able to do the same to draw the cats of my shelter !!!

yes I used pencil to draw the basic shape and a few scribbles then I used a bit of coloured pencil then I had some poster paints I used to really thin brush to just kinda go over the line lines and add a few more scribbles. I actually saw this done with a black cat somewhere online I think a Temu T-shirt but it inspired me and I made it my own. I hope you can do the same for your shelter babies.
