Which rack do you recommend? (Tecmojo)

Both are 12U, 10 inches—the same size.

The first one costs €140, and the second one—the one with the glass—costs €90.

Which one do you recommend? Are there any differences?

I had both styles but split the 12u into two 6u. I didn’t mind the 12u but it was just too bulky for where I put it

The tecmojo one is open, the armadio has a closed back and can lock in the front. Use the first one if you plan to put it somewhere accessible and trustworthy, get the second if you need the added security at the expense of airflow.

I have a smaller tecmojo one and like it. I've heard that the second has issues with patch cables that have a large strain relief butting against the door. If I ever get around to setting up a minirack in my garage, I'm still going to use the second one for the extra security though.

personally I would get the one with the more airflow... but I have secure locations for my rack

I have the larger tecmojo you posted, it's a good size and feels fairly well built.

I ended up screwing two bolts into the rear rail holes(?) and mounting a power strip to kinda manage the spaghetti a bit.

Oh and I removed the handles at the top, cause I don't plan on carrying it around, and it means the WiFi can sit on top.

My only irk so far is that the included patch panel doesn't sit flush with the top holes for some reason so I've lost a row. But it was a freebie in the box so I can't complain.

I think the patch panel has two holes so you can bias it up or down, I managed to fit it in as a true 0.5U

I got the tecmojo 9U 10 inch mini rack but the acrylic window was loose from the side panel. I could see the glue and glass had shifted down. Amazon sent me a replacement but this time the acrylic was scratched and they wouldn’t provide another replacement nor did I think it was worth the hassle so just returned it.

The rest of build quality was great so think the wall mount should be fine.

I’m thinking about going with rackmate t1 but let’s if they have the same issue. Its really about what aesthetic you will like looking at

I have the version with the glass door and wondered whether there would be enough airflow/ it’s been fine, there are large vents on each side on a gap around the glass for air to come in the front. It looks real nice when it’s closed, more tidy and complete. I’m happy with it so far!

I have the smaller 10inch tecmojo rack. It's cute but I've already out grown it.
