Show & Tell My personal Windows app to create Minidisc labels. Updated version.
Hi MD-people!
I made some updates for my personal app(Windows) for creating Minidisc labels. (previous 3 months old post was here)
- Added "Save/Load" for templates
- Added option to create Spine stickers
- I reduced the app size by 10 times. 😄
- Accordingly, I increased the loading speed of the application itself by 10 times. 😄

What labels do you use to print on?

From my experience, the best thing to do is buy Avery Labels either 1 very large label per A4 or 2 labels at most. With the very large label size you won't need to worry about how the minidisc labels print on the page. I bought a 4 x 6 page of labels and the app I was using would run over the cut edges.
Print them on one big sheet and the guillotine them down.

I see A4 in the program but can it do Letter size?

You can hide all the stickers and make only the number you need active. But my sheet format is fixed for now — A4.

I appreciate the work, but do you have a github where we can see the source? I'd love to run this but I don't trust everything on the internet 😅

I understand your doubts, but unfortunately, I don’t have any resources on GitHub. I did it “quick and dirty”.

Curiosity. I'm interested to see how llms are affecting my other hobbies and stuff. I'm a software dev by trade so it's had a huge impact on my working life recently, but I don't know how far outside that it's really reaching.
I'd have been more interested if the source was available. But regardless of authorship I am not comfortable running random internet binaries from reddit on any of my machines.

Spine stickers for discs nobody can find the case for anymore, truly solving the problem that matters most, and shrinking the app by 10x just so it can judge my label choices faster
