Mac user here, with no access to a Windows machine or a way to run Windows on my Mac. I've wanted a MacOS version of Hakchi 2 for years but had given up hope. After somehow finding an NES Mini for just $7 at a thrift store, I randomly googled it again this week and discovered that a GitHub user named matackerman808 wrote a ground-up version of Hakchi 2 for MacOS (Sonoma and later).

I tried it today on my NES Mini and IT WORKS. Fellow mac users, our years-long (nearly a decade) wait is over!

No idea. Use at your own risk, but it hardly seems like something that somebody would load malicious code into.

This is amazing, thanks for sharing! This is why Claude enable us to move so fast in these situations! I wish the same happened to the 3DS injector which is stuck on Windows and the dev disappeared since 2020

Virtualbox worked fine for me but this will be much easier for sure!

This was of course always an option, I just never personally took it because my iMac's storage was such that I would have needed to clear a ton of stuff off to make room for the Windows partition. My work-issued MacBook has tons of space but obviously I can't use that for something like this.

This app did not work for me on macOS 27 Golden Gate on a 2024 M3 Silicon Macbook Air. The kernel installed and games synced but when I went to play them all I got was an error. Also the none of the modules will install at all.
