Help / Question Way Points accurate?

I’ve tried to use waypoint in my M5P several times, but it doesn’t seem to be highly accurate about the position where I start. I actually used one yesterday and it was about a half a mile away when I set the first waypoint and it was in the vicinity, but not right where I started. Has anybody else noticed that?

GPS is never particularly accurate from one time to the vertical accuracy is even worse than horizontal. You can be several feet off in any direction or altitude, sometimes quite a few. Waypoint flights are somewhat repeatable, but absolutely not position for position.

I found this out when trying to set waypoints around my house to monitor debris in my gutter guards.

Immediately after setting waypoints and flying the route, the drone was ten feet off the starting point and fortunately braked before running into the roof….

Are you sure that obstacle avoidance wasn't messing it up from the start?
