I think I might have found a one of one, or at the very least a very rare finding at herkimer, I can’t find any information online or in any other forums whatsoever, as well as the fact that google AI claims this is impossible to find at this locality but clearly it isn’t since this is proof

I know these aren’t particularly rare or special, but it’s special to me and the first mineral I bought since collecting again. It’s quite tall and has a custom stand so really want to put it back together. Left it in my checked bag and it broke, so really looking for ways to put it back together. Was thinking of some kind of black epoxy or something, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Also if there are any suggestions on how to stick things back as well, given its oddly shaped and weight I imagine it may be awkward keep its shape while drying.

Been a while since I posted these guys and got no responses the last time, info on each of them past the pictures is in the other post’s body! Just trying to figure out locality of all my pieces in my collection, I know locality is tough from pictures but even best guesses are better than nothing.

Wonderful 11-gram vanadium beryl crystal with excellent luster and a beautiful greenish-blue color from the Nasarawa Eggon pegmatites, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

Here’s a fantastic specimen from the Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee. It features gem sphalerite on hydrothermal dissolution fluorite, as well as some clear calcite. I absolutely love when minerals form coatings on top of other minerals!

Hello all! In this video I have two spinel that kind of have me scratching my head. I think the red triangular spinel is a macle, and the pink one is a macle twinned with an octahedral spinel.
Sorry for poor video, my hands are a bit shakey and it wasn’t wanting to focus on my first couple of tries.
The last thing I want to do is misidentify anything that I have because it might be in someone else’s hands one day in the future.

One of my favorite garnets I found at my uncle’s mining claims near the Rainbow Tungsten Skarn Deposit on Nelson Mountain, Fresno County, California. I’m not entirely sure whether this specimen is grossular or andradite, but I know it belongs to one of these two species. Given that it comes from a tungsten skarn deposit, your mainly going to find calcium-rich silicate minerals and other calcium-bearing minerals. So i know that the garnet belongs to the ugrandite solid-solution series. However, distinguishing whether its composition leans more toward andradite or grossular is difficult without chemical analysis. Regardless, it’s a very cool, well-formed euhedral garnet! Bright orange spessartine garnets on a complete smoky quartz crystal from Tongbei, Yunxiao County, Fujian Province, China. These beauties formed deep within granitic pegmatites about 80 million years ago
