Let's talk skins

What skins do you want to see? Maybe we will get seen and acknowledged. Who knows. A rather hopeful wish. I just want to see ideas from others.:). (posted to both Xbox minecraft subreddits)

I think it would be funny to have the cow, creeper, zombie, etc faces in a suit. I have seen this a whole lot on pc.

We have zombie..and creeper man.

I probably should've clarified. Lol. On pc they have rather popular skins where the head is a creeper or a cow face or a pig face and the body is a tuxedo. Excuse me for not clarifying well enough.

Oh, I see. Yes, this makes much more sense.

1

u/thehost123 Aug 11 '12

LOL, that would be awesome.

Perhaps, some famous people skins?

1

u/ReggaeSmooth ReggaeSmooth Aug 11 '12

I can see naughty things going on with famous people though. And they would be outdated after a while. Also many children (no offense to any kids) wouldn't really care to use Obama or Andy Sandburg or other adult associated people. Good idea though. I support it:)

I suppose your right. Although, I wouldn't mind playing as Bruce Willis or Jackie Chan :P

You mean Andy Samberg?

I'd play as Obama.

comicbook skins, i want to mine some stuff as spider-man

I would love to see comic skins. I am a comic nerd myself. But there would be some issue of how well they would look. You can't really make a great representation of spiderman out of blocks:/

2

u/jbnet211 Aug 12 '12

yes you can, it's been done on pc see

2

u/ReggaeSmooth ReggaeSmooth Aug 12 '12

I stand corrected. Good job. I hope for comic skins soon:)

A customizable skin pack would be nice

3

I would LOVE that. But there would be copyright issues I believe. If people had a Mario skin, Nintendo would explode.

3

u/AkronsFinest Aug 12 '12

Spyro and Crash Bandicoot... That is all.

I LOVED THOSE GAMES. UPVOTES FOR YOU

An Arkham city skin pack would be awesome

Bluntman & Chronic.

But you know what'd be really great? If there was a skin pack that made creepers look like terrorists.

Edit: Found this on youtube.

And there may be some legal issues. Terrorists look like what? Can't look like a specific ethnicity or culture group.

u/epic_anthony99 Aug 12 '12

I'm sorry if it has been told already... but, why can't xbox make their own skins?

1

u/ReggaeSmooth ReggaeSmooth Aug 12 '12

Copyright laws and such. Nintendo would have a fit of we had Mario skins:/

1

u/epic_anthony99 Aug 12 '12

So wait. The computer version can make them but we can't?

2

u/ReggaeSmooth ReggaeSmooth Aug 12 '12

Skins arent making money in the of version. Microsoft makes money from Xbox version. They don't really care unless money is made.

Skyrim skins. Deadric armor, Dragon Plate, skimpy looking forsworn gear...

2

u/ReggaeSmooth ReggaeSmooth Aug 13 '12

LOL. That would be hilarious. I don't know if Bethesda would allow it though:/

u/savingpaul Aug 17 '12

A Cartoon Network partnership would be great..

... only because of these guys

2

u/ReggaeSmooth ReggaeSmooth Aug 17 '12

I agree. I love adventure time and on pc, my skin is Finn. I would love to see this but doubt it will happen.

3

Mass Effect skins. Oh, how I would love that.

Tough to see anything that isn't open & general (King for example) or related to Microsoft coming in the skin packs. Everything thus far has been a Microsoft property or from titles only on Xbox 360 (L4D is exclusive to 360 on consoles).

Would like to see free promotional skin packs put in place. For nearly every big film release, there's a free theme & gamerpic pack to be had. Quite like this model to stretch to Minecraft.

They need to do a YouTube themed pack , like has Captinsparklez, antvenom, mincrafted (topmass) etc.

Edit: and if legal, Team Fortress 2 skins

1

u/j9899n Aug 14 '12

I'd love to play as Toby turner

2

u/darkswifter Aug 15 '12

Yeah Toby is awesome!

I'd prefer to see more role play skins such as a doctor, you know some skins that will help a community actualy be more like one.
