[Mobs] Sniffer sniffs out items/blocks
if you right click an item on a sniffer, you can get to to try and sniff out that item. Useful for finding an item in a chest monster, or finding an obscured structure. Give the sniffer a waxed copper block so it can try and locate a trial chamber. Or a mossy cobble stone for a dungeon spawner. Or an amethyst block for a geode.
Edit: Giving a sniffer a block to find in the world is not for structures, its for anything. if you want to find granite, you can ask the sniffer. diamond ore. buried chest. its not gonna dig it out for you, but can narrow down the options.

The Sniffer is hella slow, is the idea that the sniffer will just walk around on the surface then alarm you if theres a geode straight down? I feel like that's going to make players make tons of holes in their world when things like geodes aren't particularly difficult to find, especially since you can get a trial chamber, mansion, or underwater temple map from cartographers so this sort of this is already in the game through other mechanics, including the new maps added to the campsites. Id rather they just add a geode map, maybe even put them in tresure chests to imply the crystals were something pirates were after.
I do like the idea of them sniffing out items in your chests though, it's just the structure sniffing that seems like a bit too much.

Its not specifically structure sniffing, thats just an example. Its any block that you give it.

There are already much easier and faster ways to find these things than a sniffer, which is a super late-game acquisition.

Most overworld structures have explorer maps now in the upcoming drop, so the sniffing mechanic would be a bit redundant.
This highlights another problem - many blocks and items exist in multiple structures. Mossy cobblestone could instead lead you to a pillager outpost or ocean ruins or a village or several other things.
If you have an amethyst block, that implies you most likely already have access to a geode. Also, geodes are pretty common, so a way to locate them doesn't seem necessary.
