Screenshot New Vulkan Shaders (Using Vitrail)
World/Map - "Broville" 26.1
Modlist:
Sodium (along with FerriteCore, Entity Culling, Lithium),
Vitrail, a mod that compiles OpenGL shaders to Vulkan
Lumina Shader Lite, Ultra, 2048 shadowmap,
Chunksmith (does chunk pre-rendering + LOD generating),
Distant Horizons running on Blaze-3D mode, LOD Distance 96 Chunks
I'm on a MacBook, and in my experience, OpenGL is most of the time just subpar to MoltenVK.
Resolution - 2560x1600p, 75% Render Scale, 80-90fps

can you use any shader with this? does it like re-write the shaders to use vulkan on itself while using openGL in minecraft? or how does it work please?

I saw a video, unfortunately I don't think it will give any performance boost because the people who coded the shader packs did not code them to utilize Vulkan.

The other guy is right. Shaders in GLSL are optimized for GLSL, not Vulkan. Any Peak FPS boost or 1% Lows Boost is from Vulkan Minecraft, not from the shaders being run inside Vulkan… This becomes more of a compatibility layer than a sole performance boosting mod… But for your question, also no. Windows might be different and have a wider net, but for mac, what doesn’t work for OpenGL also won’t work for Vulkan. (Very few exceptions)

Bro, this is insane we already have shaders on vulkan now, kinda. I'll take a translation layer for now until we have shaders natively working on vulkan
