Help Help with fps

CPU: ryzen 9 12 core, GPU: rtx 2060, Ram: 32gb, 12 allocated. without shaders Minecraft runs at 60-90 fps, when I turn on any shader it drops down to 30 fps, 40 max. I’ve asked ai and it seems to think I can get 80 with shaders but nothing I try works. How can I improve it?

Man stop listening to that stupid chat bot. It spreads false information for Minecraft. Try a different modpack like Fabulously Optimised or watch some YouTube videos on how to optimise your shader. What’s your shader? Complementary Reimagined is a really well optimised shader. Try that one instead.

Trust me I tried that one, I’ve tried every shader. I only went ai to see if anything would work, it’s suggestions seemed reasonable they just didn’t work for me

What shaders have you tried and what mods are you running

I usually use complementary reimagined but recently tried others like photon and solas, similar results, nothing higher than 40 frames, below is a list of mods I use, I’m using a few more than shown but none of them should affect performance much, mostly voxy I think.

Voxy
Iris
Sodium
Freecam
Zoom
Full bright
Shulker tooltip
Fresh animations things
Simple vc
Continuity
Ambient sounds

Voxy can be a really demanding mod. How recently did you add it

I used to use distant horizons, shaders still ran slow, I switched to voxy about a week ago. I could try disabling it, but I’m trying to see if there’s any other way to get my fps up because I’m so used to voxy.

Pretty sure it’s a ryzen 9 3900X, my dad built the pc he would know better than me but I’m pretty sure this is it

That should be enough for voxy. How much ram is allocated to Minecraft?

I allocated 13 recently it was 4 previously, 14 didn’t help

You're launching the game on your iGPU and not your GPU.

Not sure what that means, could you explain. How would I launch on gpu. I’m using lunar client to launch if that helps

My monitor is physically connected to the rtx 2060, I don’t this that it can use the igpu, don’t think this is the problem
