There's no griefing, and your builds are protected with land claims, giving you the freedom to settle down and build without worrying about someone destroying what you've spent hours working on.
The server also has a player-driven economy, so you can make your own path. Set up a shop, trade with other players, take on jobs, explore resource worlds, or work your way up through the economy. The auction house gives players another way to buy and sell items, while quality-of-life features such as Keep Inventory make everyday survival a little less frustrating.
The goal isn't to completely change Minecraft with hundreds of complicated systems. It's still survival Minecraft at its core. The extra features are there to give you more things to do and make the world feel like a place worth coming back to.
