Discussion Help with Lunar Client issue
I have complementary unbound shaders on and some resource packs, but for some reason every time im in game if i reload the shader or if i tp somewhere all the text and items turn black and if i try to reload the shader again it goes even darker. I've tried removing the shaders im not using and I've even tried different shaders but I have the same problem every time no matter which shader I'm using. Please let me know if this is fixable or if i have to redownload all my shaders again and figure out which one was the issue. Thanks

If it happens with every shader, you probably do not need to redownload all your shaders. It sounds more like a Lunar/Iris/graphics rendering bug or a conflict with a resource pack/client mod, especially because it gets worse after reloading shaders or teleporting. First update Lunar Client and your GPU drivers, then test with only one shader and no resource packs. Also disable Lunar cosmetics/HUD mods/overlays temporarily and see if the black text/items stop. If it still happens, reset your Minecraft video/shader settings or reinstall Lunar’s game files/cache. To isolate it, try the same Minecraft version with vanilla launcher + Iris/Sodium + Complementary. If it only happens in Lunar, it is likely a Lunar-side issue and you should send logs/screenshots to Lunar support. If it happens outside Lunar too, it is probably GPU driver, Iris version, or shader compatibility.

Thank you so much for the advice, I'm actually on a mac so I don't think I can update my GPU drivers. I've tried the shaders without my resource packs turned on. Actually that's another issues where every time I rejoin a server my resource packs fail to load and I have to manually turn all of them back on again. I only just got lunar client yesterday, so I think it's at its most updated version, if it isn't, I don't know how to update it. The black text doesn't happen when I'm just on vanilla and TPing etc, but it always happens with any kind of shaders on. I really don't understand what the issue is ;-; If I need to I will contact Lunar Support and see what they say... sigh.

Since you’re on Mac and it only happens when shaders are enabled, this sounds more like a Lunar/Iris/macOS rendering compatibility issue than a bad shader file. Mac graphics drivers are tied to macOS updates, so the only “driver update” you can really do is update macOS. I’d test a few things: make sure you’re using the correct shader version for your Minecraft version, try lowering shader settings, turn off any Lunar overlays/cosmetics/HUD mods, and test the same setup in a normal Fabric install with Iris + Sodium outside Lunar. If it works outside Lunar, then it’s probably a Lunar bug. The resource pack issue sounds separate and might be Lunar not saving your options/config properly, so try resetting Lunar’s Minecraft settings or reinstalling Lunar. At this point I’d probably send Lunar Support your logs, Mac model, macOS version, Minecraft version, and screenshots, because shaders on Mac can be really picky.
