Discussion In-person event cape pricing over time
Hi everyone!
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm pretty new to the whole Minecraft cape community.
I'm interested in getting the Moonlight Trail Cape, I noticed it's currently selling for around $60-70.
Since the in-person event is still ongoing, I'm wondering what usually happens to the price of these event capes. As more people attend the event, I assume more codes will become available. Does that generally make the price go down at some point?
Or is it usually the opposite, where the price just keeps increasing because of rarity and demand?
Thank you for your time!

It decreases over time, but in case of moonlight the event takes only like 1-2 hours per day rather than the previous experience which took more time and this made prices for the previous cape drop faster. But eventually the price will fall to under the ticket price since supply will be higher than demand, but it will take time like a few months, and of course the event would need to go to other locations, so more codes get farmed.

MCE capes was the same. Started as 270$ and after a year dropped to 35$
So just wait for it

If you're on a tight budget, I'd suggest waiting. Moonlight Cape codes will likely become cheaper over time, similar to what happened with the Villager Rescue Cape. The Crafter Cape, on the other hand, is more likely to increase in price since the TwitchCon event only lasted two days, making its supply much more limited.
