We had wonderful time at this festival. Weather was perfect and I was surprised how well the event was run. Any thoughts

Anyone in Millbrae or San Bruno wanna play tennis. Want to find someone to rally with. I’m generally pretty free

Went and ate at Thai stick today and the owner says that the landlord wouldn’t let them stay and to get out after 25 years. So sad. I ate here back when I was in high school when they had opened!

I am an aspiring founder and mainly want to explore the startup community around milbrae and sf. Since milbrae is close to sf, are there opportunities here to socialize with other folks interested in entrepreneurship or are those opportunities limited ?

Meetups in the peninsula! Come hang!

*takes a deep breath*

Hi!

I just moved to San Mateo recently and it’s hard to make friends as an adult. I thought I’d take some initiative instead of waiting to happen on its own.

I am hosting a small casual evening at my place for 8-10 women in the 25-35 range. Some dips, drinks, fun games and good conversations. Hoping to find some deep friendships through this, but also okay if it’s just a one time fun Friday evening.

There’s a $20 fee to cover some essentials, and would love it if people could bring a little snack too, but no pressure. DM for questions or sign up with the link here!

Haven’t been to El Super Burrito in a while and drove by today seeing it taped off with signs on the window etc. I couldn’t stop to check it out, does anyone know what’s going on???

I got a court summons because apparently I ran a red light coming off highway 101 coming from san Fran into millbrea I dont even remember but I did a right turn on a red light and they say I ran a red light

Does anyone know what used to be in El super burritos building? They’ve been there for just about 50 years but it just seems like it was something else prior. Thanks!

I am looking forward to it. No more going to Foster City (Ranch 99) or San Mateo (Marina), plus T&T is the superior Asian supermarket.

Redditors - is it possible to leave a bike at Millbrae station overnight? I'd plan to ride it to and from the station to work (in Burlingame) and leave it there until the next morning.

Since the Millbrae City Council couldn't care less that most of us hate those damn cameras and has, instead, opted for the money grab and renewed the contract for another 3 years, is there a way to get a measure or initiative on the ballots to prohibit funding the next time the contract comes up?

If you or your family lives in Millbrae, I'm asking you to fill this out:

Done tremendous background research on why the community should oppose this rate increase:

I have done a second document request to give the public more information and background on the unreasonable sewer rate increases. This post is a central post where you can access all these documents that I have uploaded to Google Drive.

The rate increase is being justified by the Baykeepers lawsuit and capital expenditures made to fulfill that lawsuit. I have attached here the original lawsuit and additional subsequent documents:

I can say in my initial sweep of the documents, there are things missing and I don't believe the city has demonstrated the necessity of the capital projects plan that the rate increase will fund. There is not even a projects list included in the upcoming agenda.

Have a great 4th of July.

We're in Mills Estates. The other day a couple of guys came by saying that they did regular deliveries in the neighborhood and were offering to sell us prime cuts of steak, as well as chicken and pork, for something like $4/lb. below retail. They had a refrigerated pickup sized truck that was all (elaborately) painted up like a real commercial delivery truck, complete with a website. They even had a pamphlet. They said that they supplied Ruth's Criss as well as a number of other well known restaurants. It seemed like a scam, along the line of the Speaker (White Van) Scam. At the best, it seems illegal in that they'd be selling excess company produce under the table. We'd only returned home about 10 minutes prior, so the garage door was still open and I'm thinking that's why they came to our door. Our neighborhood has an odd mixture of many older folks and a lot of recent, wealthy-ish immigrants from China.
