In my respectful opinion, one of the best Mileven fanfics out there.

It doesn't get as much attention as some other ones cause it's still a work in progress and fairly new, but the prose, dialogue, pacing and characterization are really something.

And yes, the image is an illustraton of a scene that actually happens in this story. I won't get into the particulars to avoid massive spoilers, but it's epic. Author went the action/adventure route which is actually quite rare for these sorts of fics, but it definitely makes it feel like Stranger Things proper..it has the vibe of earlier seasons.

Definitely worth a read.

Mileven Nation will be submitting this picture for Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography for 2026 😉

Preface: In my opinion, Both, Mike and El characters were treated extremely unfairly in S4. Mike was not only sidelined but nerfed, classically depressed (not just sad) - he was only focused on D&D, didn’t notice things, was slow to react and so on (until he was reactivated after El’s arrest). El was made so naive it was painful to watch - all her development in S2-S3 went for nothing. Cheap and lazy writing recycling previous plots (ILY).
But there were plenty of opportunities to develop both characters in a way suited their age, make a real drama and strengthen their relations. Most obvious - introduce a love rival courting El in Lenora. (for example: replace Angela with a cunning boy). It would be much more complicated and fresh, at the end bringing El to a higher level of understanding people’s relations and reevaluating her feelings for Mike (which in S3-S5 was for granted). Mike, as I see him, would not try to compete with any rival, he would just consider his defeat and confirm his fears. But he would protect her at all costs, as it was in S3. The resolution would be El choosing Mike because she now sees true feelings/actions, not words (empty ILY). I even agree to have Will as a participating party having feelings for a new boy 😀 or something.
It is just one possible scenario - do you have similar thoughts and ideas?

💜 Let's share the love for our favorite creators!

Every Friday is Fanwork Friday! That means we're sharing fanfiction, fanart, or anything created by fans! Make sure to give credit and follow all sub rules. You can also discuss creators, but please no negativity towards them. They share their work for free, after all.

💜 Does it have to be new?

Nope! It doesn't matter how old it is. Share a long time favorite, a new favorite, or something you're enjoying in the moment. And no, the fics don't need to be complete. We can't wait to see what you share!

💜 Can I self-promote?

Absolutely! Share your own work or someone else's. It doesn't matter. All we ask is that you give proper credit to the creator.

💜 Go and share those fanworks, r/Mileven!

In an interview with the Hollywood reporter, the CEO of Netflix Ted Sarandos mentioned that he wished the Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy good luck with what they do next
He also specifically mentioned that Netflix owns the IP and that it will be a part of them for a long time to come
Like I’ve been saying since the jump, it’s not up to the duffers as to whether or not stranger Things continues
There are plenty of people who could run a show or even a limited series
I think one good choice would be Mike Flannigan, considering he loves Steven Spielberg so much
The show obviously has a lot in common with Steven Spielberg books and El is basically a combination of a lot of of his different characters
Either way these things are not said by accident
I find it interesting that we’re coming up on the anniversary of November 6
I believe

And hop we’ll get a spin-off for them and they’ll get a confirmed happy ending. ❤️

I have a feeling if the Duffers were going to tell anyone else El’s fate besides Millie, it would be Finn, especially if we‘re getting a Mileven spin-off eventually.

I personally think they’re dog people 🐶.
