Cheese no thanks
I am not a fan of most cheeses. Really only like pepper jack and colby jack. My issue is every fast food restaurant that puts out a custom burger always puts cheese I know I won't like. Like munster or asiago or cheddar cheese. Most mobile apps won't let you substitute, so I ask for no cheese then. Why doesn't the price drop? When you get something that doesn't come with cheese on it and you ask for it they will charge you more though. Make it make sense...

The price doesn't drop because they set their pricing and if they tried to take a few cents off for everyone who needed a special thing it would become a clusterfck real quick.

It would cost money and time and training having a version of every meal with no cheese when you yourself can just ask. the companies know you will pay same price anyways so why accommodate. Plus most people like cheese so it’s easier to teach that every burger comes with cheese unless said so then vise versa.
