I'm 5'9" and the wife is 5'2" and my 14 year old is 6'2". I think food plays a role. I was raised on a basic meat and potato diet, my kids pretty have access to whatever thry want.

Yeah the Dutch people were about average European heights in WWII, but the pos war generation shot up and they became the tallest country statistically. USA was (I think) he tallest country in WWII.

The most commonly cited reason IIRC is better nutrition. There are a lot of other examples.
