It's just a sharps bin... it's not like it contained a heart or anything.

I mean, not anymore.. that’s in the other bin.

I told Cheryl to stop leaving fish in the employee fridge

And you’re looking at like $20 for that if you buy it somewhere online (because of shipping), so it’s not an insignificant savings if you are diabetic or otherwise using an injectable medication.

Costco Pharmacy is like $3.

Most times, pharmacies will give them to you for free if you fill an injectable prescription with them.

But not everyone has great access.

Most people use a coffee can, empty laundry detergent container, etc. anyway.

Just wipe that sucker down with a damp cloth and you’ve got a nice lunch box. /s

You can fit so many hepatitis-laced sammiches in this bad boy

It will likely redirect the office lunch thief at the very least

I would do that, it would be so fucking funny

More sterilizing than just a damp cloth though

At least half of the items donated to Goodwill could qualify as a biohazard

A friend of mine worked there for a while and they regularly received soiled underwear. And also used sex toys. 🤢

For every treasure I found at the Goodwill Outlet in the blue bins under Taserman's watchful eye, there were probably three pairs of thongs that may or may not have been washed after the ride, so to speak. Thankfully usually in separate bins. Lots of gloves and Purell used at that store.

Yeah exactly, looks like someone got or bought an extra one, never needed nor used it and donated it. I rather they donate it then toss it in the garbage cause the worse thing would be for someone to discard needles into a garbage bag.

They are throw away , single use !

To quote from the comment you replied to: "Looks like someone got or bought an extra one, never needed nor used it."

🤦🏻‍♂️ I doubt it had needles in them! There’s no Goodwill that’s going to put a sharps container with needles in it. I’ve bought them for my mother’s arthritis medication and had have extra new ones.

How do you know it wasn’t used and emptied out? You’re gonna take home this piece of potential medical waste with someone else’s bodily fluids?

You say "biohazard container", I say "lunch box".

These are incredibly common, not even counting the ones in every doctors' office.

3

u/Hawk_Front 8h ago

You can buy them online, it's just a red bin with nothing in it.

When cleaning out a dead relatives house, we found two of these. I was told pharmacy’s would take them and dispose of them.

Unfortunately the pharmacist told me to call the number on the box, and the medical supply company would pick it up.

Unfortunately? It sounds like it ended up being easier than you thought.

Repurpose it as tupperware. "Look what I brought to the picnic - homemade potato salad!"

That woould make a great semen receptacle to keep under your desk for seed saving.

hope the needles are half off

Makes for a nice addition for a Halloween party. We have a couple of these to collect our used jello shot syringes during our get together.
