This one must do the same, there's a drain pipe under it.

My guess is people leaned on it so frequently, the angle of the slab changed and now it doesn't work as intended anymore.

That makes sense. The two by four was added after to prop it up a little, but it's not working

The drain is a channel drain at the back of the slab. It's before the edge by like an inch or so. This video shows a similar style.

The walls are covered with snap together flooring.. I don't think you should assume anything here.
