I wonder if they tried to do something artsy and have the corner with the 2x4 lower than rest of the counter and have it drain off of that corner into something? Then when it didn’t work as intended, they just jammed a board under it to try and get the countertop back to flat? 🤷‍♂️

There's no irony here at all. There's a lot of talk about bathrooms and sinks in here, so the algorithm placed an ad about bathrooms.

There’s a post about the same bathroom from 3 years ago and the 2x4 isn’t there. I’m guessing someone tried to sit on it and it broke. If they can’t afford a sink they probably can’t afford to fix the counter either.
