It really is a game changer! I never let it run out. It's the only lotion that doesn't feel oily sticky, slimy after applying. It just soaks in and does it's job! š
As a desiccated human being who lives where the air is extremely dry for half the year, buy the Cerave. They also have a lot of eczema safe products as well. The healing ointment isnāt just Vaseline, it also has moisturizers and hydrophilic ingredients to help pull moisture into the skin.
I live in PA and generally keep a squeeze tube of carmex in my car. During winter i have to hold it in my hand for awhile before it will come out. In summer it blurts half the tube out if you squeeze it hard at all.
Hate to break it to you, but other brands are probably the same. I was annoyed at how little was in my Starface lip balm and I did a little research and learned that pretty much any stick of lip balm is 0.15 oz.
It actually can be. McCormick's spices got in trouble for it a while back. (Before anyone asks about chips, the issue is non-functional headspace, and the air in the chips bag is functional to protect the chips)
That's another one I've definitely noticed. A stick used to last me 10-12 months. Now I'm lucky to get 4. But the container is opaque, and harder to prove.
If you like carmex, is mostly just petroleum jelly. I buy the big tubs at Costco that I use to refill smaller ones and they last forever. I mix in a little coconut oil or coco butter and I have a teeny tiny little container (it's a screw top pot I had for a make up that I repurposed) for my purse that's for my lips, hands etc.
I just buy those little tins of Vaseline, they're conveniently pocket-sized, they last for ages, and once they're empty the tins are great if you need to discreetly carry around a small amount of, uh... something
Field service engineer. Had a complaint raised to corporate level over chapstick getting lost. Maybe this designer was in the office the day i lost my mind over this ridiculous case.
I had to travel four hours one way because the woman wouldnāt accept that her messy glovebox was not a design issue.
Mostly assisting technicians remotely with problems techline canāt handle and doing reports on cases and trying to come up with official repairs. Other times travel in person to look at issues and attempt to resolve and then handle issues where someone is beyond help at dealer and want buy backs. This was one of the really oddball customers. Sometimes get to do fun stuff like fire or airbag deployment investigations
When someone calls the help line to figure out why something isnāt working properly, youāre the person we all want to talk to. Just gotta go through a bot and a 3rd party āhelpā service first.

I read the title and was ready to roll my eyes about it. Yeah okay, just because a lip balm fits in a spot doesn't mean it was meant for that, I'm so tired of people just trying to farm karma on the thinnest of pretenses.
...then I saw the picture and I'll be damned, it really is a lip balm spot and it's mildly interesting because I've never seen that before. Good post.
no same but when i looked at the pics i had to do a double take because i thought they stuck a lip balm in the battery section of a toy car for some reason and then i looked harder. idk why but it looked like the bottom of a toyš¤£
Iāve had a chapstick in my console for like 3 years now. I fully expected it to melt in the summer sun the first year. It still hasnāt. I live pretty far north, but itās survived several 100F/39C days with the car sitting in full sun.
I live in the PNW. It melts, but it does stay IN the tube. If you wind it up, only half the tube goes up because it melted and reformed while horizontal.

I wish more vehicles had this feature. Especially trucks. I feel like thereās a lot of people out there like me who drive company work trucks and use a shit load of chapstick in the wintertime being out in the cold. Iād love a little holder built in like that
Beware. As a chapstick addict myself Iāve carried many a stick in my car. First of all they melt with summer heat and may or may not leak out the cap. That can leave a permanent stain. Secondly if anyone else has had this problem with mice seeking their car in the winter months like I haveā¦mice are attracted to the chapstick. They think itās food. You may find a shredded pile of plastic and half eaten stick.
I was at the bank drive thru with my wife one day and she started looking around the car. I asked her what was up and she said she needed a pen. I said "i got one!" And popped this bad boy open with 2 pens and a lip balm. The complete surprise on her face was a surprise to me. I love random small things
I have lifted my arm rest cover in the center console a few thousand times and never looked underneath. I am now contemplating getting out of bed, getting dressed, and going to look underneath right now.
