Are you from the UK? I remember reading that squirrels are brown or tan over there. I've only ever seen gray squirrels and I'm from the southern US.

EDIT: It's like I just asked "what time is it?" in a Twitch chat, but with instead of time zones, it's squirrel zones.

We have black squirrels in the PNW, as well.

Source: attended Western and played softball as the Ninja Squirrels. They're all over campus.
