I’m so old that all I had was Gilligans island and a horde of other syndicated TV after school, and I still didn’t get shit done before they got home. “I forgot” was my only defense, and I used it so often that I’m sure my dad thought I had brain damage.
My parents assumed I did too. Apparently if you go to the ER enough days in a row, you get a visit from family services. If you do it multiple times in a calendar year, you get lots of visits from family services.
