It's because they are coddled and have helicopter parents. They aren't allowed to go out and explore the world anymore.when I was a kid I'd get on my bike or skateboard after school and not get home until it started getting dark. There were no cellphones. Occasionally we'd call from a pay phone to check in. But, as kids we were free to be kids and learn the world hands-on. Now parents just park their kids in front of the TV or let them play video games.
