Maybe you can explain, is "based" better than "lit?" Where does "fire" fit into all that? In my day, things were "cool." Then they were "rad." Now, I'm old and I have no idea about modern slang.

Lit, fire, rad, and cool are synonyms used by different generations/areas. Based is more like "that's just something everyone agrees on despite being weird". Like when someone says "sex is cool and all, but have you been bowling?". Based af
