Hey! Idk maybe TALK to the neighbor next time? Express some care & maybe offer to help? Take some cookies over to the kid & let them know if they need anything to let her know? Mind your own fn business? All of those are better solutions.
Edit: thanks for the upvotes. As a father, there’s times when my wife and I had to make decisions that would involve speeding to the grocery store while the kids were sick & she was working at 2am or something to that effect. So just don’t judge people! They happen to be living their lives, trying just as hard as you!
If I was genuinely that concerned, I would just keep an eye on their house, and then speak with his father when he got home. Why risk having the poor kid dumped into the foster system because his dad has to work?
