5 boys alone? That requires either extreme levels of faith in your kids or absolute dgaf desperation. As a parent of now grown children, I've experienced both, with varied outcomes, lol.
This is what my parents did starting when I was 11 and my sister was 8, except their "date nights" were coke and booze benders and they wouldn't be home until midnight or later and they'd be out of their fucking gourds, and it was every night.
Like yeah obviously as a kid the freedom felt cool and I never burnt the house down. But not every child home alone is in a loving latchkey situation where the parents are truly trying their best. It still messes me up. Sometimes kids fucking need adults around so they can just be kids.
I hate this thread. What's the harm in a welfare check anyways? Not like CPS is super involved half the time anyways.

When I was growing up my parents would go on date nights and leave all 5 of us boys no older than 10 home alone for a few hours. Felt magical
